Authenic Kfc Coleslaw: the Real Thing
I am an avid collector of recipes. A young lady, a former KFC employee, was looking at my recipes one evening when she discovered this one. She told me that the recipe was close, but that I should remove the vinegar and lemon juice and replace them with taraggon vinegar. Tarragon vinegar is the secret.
24 servings 30 min 30 min prep
4 1/2 teaspoons tarragon vinegar
6 1/2 tablespoons vegetable oil
3/4 cup chopped onions
2 1/2 cups Miracle Whip
1 cup sugar
2 carrots
2 heads cabbage

Mix oil, onions and sugar.
Add Tarragon vinegar.
Fold in Miracle Whip.
Pour over grated carrots and cabbage.
Fold in well.
Refrigerate in an air-tight covered dish.
Best if made the night before serving.
The tarragon is the secret seasoning.
Compare with the real KFC Cole Slaw.
Enjoy.

In a blender, grate a head of cabbage, an onion, and a few carrots, putting the grated vegetables in a colander and after the water drains out, squeeze the mixture to get all the water out. Place into a bowl and add Miracle Whip, a bit of sugar to taste, and a few celery seeds if you like. Cover and refrigerate overnight so the flavors blend. It's goooood.

In bowl combine mayonnaise, sweet-n-low and water. Mix well. Pour over cabbage and carrot in large bowl. Mix well and chill.
(if you like your coleslaw with a bit of tang, add 2 tbsp. of white vinegar to the mix)

Finely shred some cabbage and some carrot. Add some crushed pineapple (drained). Mix with the bottled cole slaw dressing you can find at any grocery.
Now, that's simple! And tasty.

All you need to do is go to any vegetable section in any grocery store. They have little packets (usually right over the cabbage) to mix with cabbage and carrots. (It tells you on the back what you need and how to make it) They actually taste really good.
