According to the Bible, Jesus performed miracles all the time, which were witnessed first hand by his followers. They even saw him come back from the dead. They had proof of his divinity, not faith! Why should I settle for less?

Alex,
It is going to be tough for you to experience the life of Christ while HE is in Heaven. You have to live by faith or be lost. The Apostles were definitely faithful. According to Legend, John lived many years and was the only one to die of natural causes but he was imprisoned and beaten many times. Judas killed himself. Legend has it that all of the others died as martyrs rather than rebuke Christ. They were definitely faithful men of GOD! I doubt that any of us could be more faithful then HIS Apostles. Have a great weekend and a wonderful LORD's DAY!
Thanks,
Eds

"Blessed are those who have not seen me but believe in me" these are the words of Jesus that can also be found in the Bible.

Remember those times when you "accidentally" cheated on your seatmate and swore you'd never do it again? A few years later, when you have a son who gets caught cheating, he tells you that why shouldn't he since his father did it, too.

We should all learn from the past mistakes. His followers had faith in Jesus. One proof is that of the criminal who asked Jesus to remember him when he will be in paradise. He did not scowl at him and ridicule unlike the other criminal. Another proof is that the apostles and Mary had faith in him when he said that the Holy Spirit will come. And the Holy Spirit lives on today. It was not forgotten. And there are many other proofs that his followers had faith in him. Some are recorded in the Bible but majority are not. It is just like Heaven, some good people who are already there in Heaven are now known as saints but majority are not known. But do they have to be? After all, they are with God and that is better than earthly fame.

Have faith in Jesus. He said that no one comes to the father before coming to me. He loves you!

You must remember, the Jews and other ancient peoples thought everyday natural events were divine phenomena. The early Jews needed to know that some events were caused by THEIR God. In those days it was not faith in a higher power, but rather faith in a specific higher power. The apostles were lucky, no one ever said life would be fair.

25 Who replaced the certainty of God right into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature extra advantageous than the author, who's blessed for ever. Amen. 26 For this reason God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women human beings did exchange the organic use into that that's against nature: 27 and additionally additionally the lads, leaving the organic use of the female, burned of their lust one in direction of yet another; men with men working that that's unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their errors which became meet. the international has made up a faith that it became no longer meant to be. The so mentioned as "christianity" as we communicate isnt the Christianity of the Bible (kjv by using how). Todays faith is approximately "how plenty you are able to smash out with in the past we wont make it to heaven" Christianity is Christ like, and that i do no longer think of Christ may well be condoning sin. you won't be able to be saved and opt to be gay, basically such as you won't be able to be saved and opt to drink alcohol.

Sorry, but they did not see Jesus come back from the dead. Two women saw him physically alive near the tomb, and the others saw the Gentle Rebe alive in a physical body in Galilee. None of them saw him rise from the Dead. No living person witnessed Jesus rising (coming back) from the dead.

There are only words in a book.....and they cite no witness of the rising.

The disciples sure did have faith, they took the gospel to the world under persacution doing the signs just like Jesus. They laid hands on the sick and they recovered, they cast out devils and all of the other things Jesus did and that took faith.

Because Jesus isn't around to show us personally which means we have to live by faith.

But doesn't it say that because we haven't seen, we have more faith? That's what I keep getting slammed with...hard to believe in something you cannot see, but then again, most of you haven't seen my mothership either...LOL!!!

Seeing Christ is not what convinced them. The coming of the Spirit changed them. You can be changed also.
