I have a long plane ride coming up soon. My Dr. gave me Niravan to help calm my nerves, since I'm clausterphobic. But, can I be too nervous for it to work? I have never taken it before.

The drugs you're talking about are benzodiazepines. Their function is to inhibit chemical catalysts to your anxiety. If the drugs don't work, it is absolutely NOT because you are "too anxious".

I am not familiar with Niravan, but I know for sure that Xanax can make anybody totally relaxed. Just make sure you have somebody with you.
