My boyfriend has really bad flaky skin, he gets it on his forhead, cheaks, and spots on his head, he washes it off but it keeps coming back!
He has been to the doc and he prescribed him some stuff but that didn't work.
I just want to know what would be the cause and how could we get rid of it.
Thank you for any sereouse answers.

Its NOT called psoriasis and DO NOT put Vick's vapor rub on it...that will make it very bad! Your boyfriend has a condition known as Seborrheic dermatitis! This will probably go away with time. Until then, I would suggest not using anything that will dry the skin. Buy your boyfriend water soluble lotions (get one w/ vitamin E) that do not have perfumes in them (fragrance free). If this does not work, here are some other (over the counter) treatment options: Selsun Blue shampoo, X-Seb, Zincon, T-Gel, Tegrin, or Zetar. If you end up getting a shampoo, only use it 2x weekly (no more). Best of Luck!

It is called psoriasis. I read an interesting cure for that this week in the newspaper. Rub Vick's vapor rub on it, it should clear up in a week. Or he needs to go to a dermatologist . I have it and so does my daughter. It is not contagious, it is hereditary. What it is is that in those areas the skin grows faster then you get rid of it. Stress tends to bring it out. My daughter went to the dermatologist this week and she gave her something and it has already cleared up. There are special shampoos and creams and ointments available thru a dermatologist.

Use a shampoo for oily hair.
Try a mask once a week on a clean face and exfoliate twice a week. Use a pure and natural soap for oily skin -
add a toner (witch hazel) apply with a cotton ball or buy an empty spritzer and fill it and use that after he washes.
