okay. so cravings come to everyone. we all know that.
the best thing to do is this:
each craving for food usually lasts about 15 minutes. So what I always do is go and get a glass of water.
Drink it slowly and the craving will be gone soon.
This is the best thing to do because
1. Water is never a bad thing.
2. You're putting something useful in your system and at the same time training yourself to be able to fight temptations for food when you're not hungry.
If you MUST chew something, go get a cup of crushed ice. Don't eat it a lot because it hurts the enamel of your teeth.
Motivation to exercise can't just be given to you. You have to want it. If you want to exercise, do it. If you don't want to, go get some sweats on and a glass of water, your ipod maybe, and start. Keep yourself going until you reach the goal that you've set...say 200 sit-ups...and do about 20 at a time, pause, and do more. You'll keep going because each time you do more, you get closer to your goal. Just remember to keep yourself hydrated. k?
When you exercise, pick areas that you want to fix. Focus mainly on exercises that will help improve those areas. But make sure not to neglect other areas. Exercise for about 30 minutes, at LEAST 3 times a week. That's recommended for everyone.
You're not pathetic lol. Don't call yourself that. You can make goals and stick to rules until you reach your goals. Just work at it, not too hard though. Don't slack off and after a while, you'll feel better!
Good luck!

No problem. Eating can be a habit that just cannot be broken. To lose weight doesn't necessarily mean you need to starve yourself. You'd just be losing muscle that way. You want to get rid of the FAT. Don't cut how much you eat, but what you eat. Don't try to do it all at once. It'll be way too hard, trust me. Start a little at a time. Start eating at least (in the beginning) 3 types of fruit and vegetables. Then add on during the month and gradually lessen how much junk you eat. During this time, you also will need to exercise. Again, you can't just start doing the major stuff first. Try to take mild walks to places you go first. Work, school, store, etc. Then after you get used to it start doing the harder stuff like doing the stair-walk at 24-hour. Build up from there. You're probably going to need at least 1-1.5 hours of exercises each day. Also swimming is EXCELLENT. Try that. You are NOT pathetic. Have some confidence! And when chewing gum fails, try munching on some blueberries or razberries. Good luck!

Craveing last 5-15 minutes so sit down and just tell yourself that the craveing will be over in 15 minutes at the most.
All in all weight loss isn't about eating less its more about keeping your calorie goal which for most people is at a minimum of 1200 calories a day, any under that and your body could go into starvation mode and you wouldn't lose anything.
Also get a bowl of fruit and everytime you get a craveing try to eat some fruit, that usually works for me, gum makes me sick to so your not alone there.
And for exercise i go on the treadmill at least 60 minutes every other day and i go out and have fun! Rollerbladeing is exercise, swimming is exercise, jumpropeing too, you can spice it up a little so it never gets boring.

i am a wrestler and i have to cut weight every season, this past season i cut down from 175 to 145 in less than 2 months, not fun but i will tell you how i did it. For eating less, i would take a piece of bread and drench it in vinegar and try to eat it trust me when you put that on your tongue you will want nothing but water which is good because it will fill up your stomach and you won't want to eat more, however if you want to ask about exercise i would recommend you put a whole bunch of layers on and go on the treadmill make sure you have lots of water so you don't pass, out and with regular exercise you should lose weight

Well eating less doesn't make you lose weight. Eating the right foods make you lose weight. raising your metobolism is a key factor. eating 1200-1600 calories per day, fruits, vegetables protein etc.
Never skip breakfast
I have 1/4 cup special K cereal w/ lowfat milk; then mid morning snack either an apple, few grapes or special K snack bar. at lunch a turkey sandwich w/wheat bread, mid after noon snack, slice of cantaloupe, or snack bar, or a slim drink. dinner a 4-6 oz steak with spinach or salad serving of some other vegetable, later a bedtime snack like yogurt. and drink 8-10 glasses of water per day. eating this way i have lost 35 lbs in about 5 months. and i feel great. there is lots of weight loss programs on the internet that have menu of what is good to eat. good luck and believe in yourself, lose the weight for you and only you. I also excercise everyother day.

actually this might sound crazy but you're suppose to at if uw ant to lose weight!! but noy junk food or anything unhealth you should buy healthy cereal for breakfast and stuff with less fat and also carbs and calories. organic things are also ver healthy but do not eat too much in one meal try eating a bit less each day but still eat a proper meal. fruits and vegetables are good too so when you get hungrey just grabb some carrots or an apple or something htats very helthy but f you dont eat is bad fr you. and also you should do excersive, try running or jogging around felieds or somehwere before you eat. never excersize after you eat, it can b very badd

I have the same problem you do and there is not much you can do. I've been told I am a super taster. Either it tastes better then most people can enjoy, or it taste worst.
Buy a Bowflex since it folds it fairly small, and it will give you enough resistance to build muscle. This is pretty much how I maintain my weight down to where it should be, and since its right there its harder to get away from doing something. Unlike the gym where you have to get dressed go out of your way, and then go home. I do it from the comfort of my living room.
Its not perfect and niether are we.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!
Get started today!
