Yes I have read all about him, he saw the angel Moroni, and that is what started the English expression of the word "moron" and its current meaning.

Religion is a personal thing and most (if not all) cannot be proved by physical/objective evidence or facts. Therefore, your belief that the Book of Mormon differs greatly from the Bible is your belief, and works for you, but for those that interpret the Book of Mormon to be completely complimentary and in line with the Bible also have the right to believe as such. All religion could be torn down, but there is not reason to do it, at least if we respect all people and their right to believe as they will. I appreciate your use of the Bible, but this scripture does not take away from the Mormon faith. If Mormons believe Joseph Smith saw an angel, or even God and Jesus Christ, then that is their belief, and we should respect that, acknowledging that there are likely many who disagree with our beliefs and that we would also like to be respected.

You are trying to make a point without citing any evidence. That doesn't make you look very smart. How exactly does the Book of Mormon not conform to the standard of the Bible? I think it is very much in line with the teachings of the Bible.
What exactly is your point with the verse from Colossians? Are you trying to say that because Joseph Smith saw an angel he was worshipping the angel? Are there not dozens of instances in the Bible where angels appear to good people? How can you claim that he did not see an angel? Wouldn't the fact that someone claimed to see an angel be very much in line with what the Bible demonstrates as an amazing and legitimate spiritual experience? Or do you not believe in the Bible?
Why do you condemn the Book of Mormon as a new and false gospel when it is so much in line with the Biblical culture and experience?

In the spring of 1820 Joseph Smith entered a grove a trees with a troubled heart. He knelt down a prayed for the first time in his life. He was immediately seized upon by a power and thick darkness gathered around him, exerting all power to call upon God he looked up and two personages where descending above him who's brightness and glory defied all. Not only did Joseph Smith see angels, but he saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.

Joseph Smith saw God the Father and Jesus Christ. He spoke with them and they instructed him on organizing Christ's true church and restoring the correct and full gospel.
The Bible and Book of Mormon complete eachother, the gospel is not full with one or the other book, we need both to know the fulness of the gospel.
The gospel is wonderful, it is the same gospel that was taught to Adam and Eve, it is the same gospel Christ taught while on the earth and it has been restored for us to have and be blessed by.

Regardless your negative opinions of the LDS Church, Joseph Smith did in fact see an angel named Moroni, the son of Mormon. He saw him three times in one night and four times subsequent to that in which Moroni prepared him for the mission he was to perform. That mission was to translate an ancient language inscribed upon gold plates into what is today the Book of Mormon.
The Gospel in the Book of Mormon is not contradictory to what is in the Bible. Rather, it complements the Bible. The book is another testament of Jesus Christ and should not be difficult to understand that the Lord has every right to dispense the truth to man in any shape He decides.
You are quick to spread maliciousness about Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon soley because you're afraid to read the book and Smith's history that is located in it. What do you have to lose? It may be your exaltation for the eternities.

Read Matthew 24 chapter.
False christs will come and decieve many. This is the truth. When u see something compare it with the word of GOD.search through the word until u find its according to bible.
GOD loves u so much that he sent his son JESUS to die for u to reconcile u back.
John 3:16 says "For GOD so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whoso ever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life".Ask JESUS to come into your heart and forgive ur sins and cleanse ur past with his blood.
With a simple prayer like above u can be saved.

There are like 9 versions of the first vision. Each is so different than the other and key details are left out of each. A good number of them mention no angel. The answer is no because he didn't mention it and no agnel of God would bring such contradictory material. Galatians 1

Why the belief of LDS trouble you so much.
If you have a better religion, then go spread your religion. Bad mouthing others is not a honorable act.
The same scripture you quoted is best to save it for your self, especially the last sentence, for the things, " vainly puffed up by your fleshly mind."
