I am 12, and weight 136 pounds. I am 5'7.
There is a pool party in a few weeks, and at the moment, I CANNOT stand myself in a bathing suit.
I want to loose a few pounds B4 the party.
How should i go about doing this?

Can anybody give me a healthy daily meal plan?

Hello there,
I'm also 5'7-5'8 (not sure which).
I usually weigh about 132-135 pounds. I'm a pretty skinny girl.

Weight does not always equal how "skinny" you are.
Muscle weighs more than fat.
My first advice is that you're 12. Your body is still going through puberty. so I don't think you should try anything drastic like a crazy diet (south beach or whatever). It could harm you.

However, if you are concerned that your pounds are unhealthy ones.. such as extra fat... You should just try to eat healthy and excersize at least three times a week.
Try running for a half and hour 3 times a week. You need to push yourself, but not the point of injury. This keeps me really toned.
As for diet read the labels of what you eat.

-Try to keep the Saturated fat below 10%

- The leanest meats are fish and chicken.

-Don't eat too many carbs (aka pasta, white bread) carbs are ok.. but like anything else too much is a bad thing.

- eat wheat bread

- Stick to low fat dairy products such as 1% milk
and probably one of the most important things at your age is

-WATCH THE SUGAR!!

-STAY AWAY FROM: soda, fruit juice, sports drinks (except propel) candy and high sugar yogurts.

-drink lots of water

again: look on the back of the label: if sugar is over 10g it's too much. You should keep it under 20gs a day if you want to lose weight.

If you do all that and stick to it for a while you should be fine.
Remember working out will increase your metabolism (how fast you burn off food) so when you come home from running, starving also remember to eat lots of healthy meats so your body can rebuild itself.

This all should help tons! Just stick with it! :)

Start walking every day and find some really good things -- fruits and vegetables -- that you like and can substitute for fattening things like potato chips and nachos.

That said, your height and weight sound proportionate to me. Find a wonderful new bathing suit in great colors that suits your figure. Tankinis are great.

Also, you might try working out with a weight or Swiss ball and borrowing a dvd or video from the library that shows you how to use it. It's probably going to take more than a couple of weeks, but by eating the right foods, doing some simple exercises and taking walks you'll start to feel great about yourself.

By the way, I think you are already a very bright person for reaching out and asking the question. You are already on your way!!!

I know how it feels to dislike wearing bathing suits! What I did, rather than lose weight, was get a better suit. I would suggest skipping bikinis; tankinis and even some one-pieces are really cute! Also, board shorts really help if you feel self-concious about your upper legs.
If you would still like to drop a few pounds, eat more fruits and vegetables and - oh, the horror! - cut the sugar. Keeping a food journal of everything you eat helps keep you from eating just "when you feel like it" and are not actually hungry.
The biggest thing to remember is, no one is really going to care if you don't have a model figure but you. "Those that matter don't care, and those that care don't matter." Just have fun!

If you are 5'7" at 136 lbs. I'd say that is about right - I know you don't want to hear that.
Take away the carbs, sugar, junk food, eat more vegetables,
and protein, drink lots of water.
I have lost weight when I did a cleanse.

You might want to try the lemonade detox diet, it is pretty healthy and you can loose a few pounds a day. Look up Celeb Lemonade Diet on line for the recipe.

You're only 12. Give yourself a break. You're entitled to some extra weight on your body. You havent even developed yet. That's whats wrong with society now. They have our young children feeling as if they have to constantly stay on a diet. Keep yourself the way you are.

Buy some Apple Cider vinegar. Drink a few tablespoons several times a day, mixed with juice. It's a natural appetite suppressant, and really makes you lose weight!

Hmm... just eat a few less bites at every meal.

I think if you strengthened your abs you might like your look a little bit better. Strong abs will make fat cells stick to them so you appear more toned.

Don't do sit-ups, do crunches, and do crunch variations.

go to www.exrx.net I think they have diagrams on how to do various crunches. Work yoru obliques too

you are 12. Just a kid. Still got baby fat on ya. Which means you can eat like a kid and not have to worry about it as you will outgrow it. Hotdogs, hamburgers, french fries, chocolate, doughnuts, pasteries. Eat and enjoy.

well, maybe you should try a tankini! i have about the same problem, but I hate one-peices and I look super bad in bikinis, so I get tankinis. They might seem really unattractive and uncomfortable, but they make me fell less self conscious, they are uber cute, and they are really comfy!
