Because when you base your reality on lies it gets harder and harder to keep them all straight.

Read Matthew 18:19-20. It clearly says when two christians agree on anything on earth it will be done by father in heaven.
It follows by where two or three gather in JESUS name JESUS will be in the midst of them.
The first verse will just make anything happen on earth. And the second one well u know what will happen when JESUS is the midst sickness disappears, miracles, bondages broken, its just joy and everything.
Now both these verse include bonding between christians failing so will not make them work.Again both the verses are a very super super thread to the devil.Whats more better for it than to keep divisions among christians and stop these verses from coming true???.As long as christians wont gather or hang together the verses just wait there. But when christians do gather and ask it will be done.So sadly most christians fell for division and hence the devil benefits so the verses wont come true.
John 3:16 says "For GOD so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whoso ever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life".Ask JESUS to come into your heart and forgive ur sins and cleanse ur past with his blood.
With a simple prayer like above u can be saved.

There has always been division among humans. It's nothing to do with Christians (or humans).
Well, God 'created' humans with the understanding that humans have a tendency to have conflicts and division. Yet, He kept on sending mixed messages to humans that has led to different interpretations. This has fueled division and hatred among humans.
It's all God's plan - DIVIDE AND RULE

There is no divisions among true Christians who follows after Christ alone. There is denominational differences which are actually minor differences owing to different views of interpretation of certain doctrines / theology but what is important is that all Christians believe in Jesus Christ as the only Son of God, that He died on the cross for their sins and that those that believe in Him are saved.
The division among Christians that you talk about is similar to quarrels and bickerings that happens among children in a family but this does not imply that they do not belong to the same father. The early Christians also faced similar problems of divisions in the church at Corinth owing to their placing more emphasis on the popularity of the leaders (some say they belong to Paul, another to Cephas and others to Apollo) and this is also happening among today's Christians who tend to look more to their pastors / denominations and forget that they all in fact actually only belong to Christ. The problem with division among Christians is due to man's own creation and not Christ's.
By the way, this problem of division is not only confined to Christians but also to Muslims, workplaces, families, etc. Anywhere you have a community of people coming together, there will be division and disagreement - this is the nature of fallen man!

It's all down to interpretation and politics. Countless passages can be read differently in the numerous versions of the Bible. States, groups and countries have for 100's of years used Christ as an excuse for their actions, which has led to further differing interpretation. How many times have wars been fought by parties both being told God is on their side. It's a sad truth, but if man can disagree they will.

There isn't any division between true Christians, just those of Christendom. True Christians are dispensed the same spiritual food every week in every congregation around the world, we are all being taught the same truths, and we are all united in the love of the Christ, we do not take up arms against our brothers just because they live in a different nation as those of Christendom do.

if you go into the detail, the ifs and buts then there are many, it is a very old religion and a different point nof view once in a while is expected. Multiply this by the thousands of years and you have several different streams of belief. The thing is, you still regognise us as christians, why is this? well the overrulling factor of believing in the same god.
Ever go out to see a movie with a mte and walk out hating it, yet he loved it? you guys are still friends, but just share different points of view, its completely normal and doesnt have to be such a split which results in hatred. Thats not the point of the god they/we celebrate.

Because people do not want to believe the Bible only and do not want to do what God tells us to do, but instead try to improve on what God has finalized thinking we know more than He does. When someone disagrees with another, they go start their own church, etc. We have to conform to God's standards, not try to make Him conform to ours. That is the reason for all the division.

It might be your definition of the term "Christian" that is the problem. It's OK, it's a very common problem.
A Christian is one who follows Christ.
Christians are the ones who know Who Jesus is. They may not agree on whether He is three in one, or one in three manifestations, they may argue about how wet one must get to be baptized, or whether baptism is strictly necessary, they may get into heated discussions abbout whether they should worship on Satrurday or Sunday...
But they all know that Jesus is Lord.
I agree, we should not argue, especially around people who are not members of our family. It makes the entire family, including our Heavenly Father, look bad.
Jesus did give us a hint as to how to recognize a "true Christian" (how I have come to HATE that term, I can't think of a better one) from the general mass of "Christianity".
The world, He says, will know His disciples by their love.
Of course, people who love each other very much sometimes squabble. Sad but true. Families argue, but they still love one another. I even know of people who have divorced, but yet, they love one another.
It really isn't as bad as we make it look.
But then, we've had 2000 years to complicate what Jesus died to simplify.

There's alot of great discussion over small areas that have nothing to do with the Faith we have in Our Lord and Savior! That IS NOT division. That is loving the Lord Jesus so much, we can't stop talking about Him!! God bless.
