I waited to comment once the rucus calmed down....the tattoo section is always this way so you just have to ignore most "answers".
Are the hands of the baby too big now to trace and then have tattooed on you? That might have been better when they were really tiny, but I think it's a cute idea - and then maybe the feet of the other if you have those imprints from the hospital certificate.
Or if you have a nickname for them and there is something that could represent that. The idea of honoring your children in some way on your body is nice but coming up with uniques ideas can be hard. Good luck - hope something inspires you!

WOW. Aside from the few people that actually understand the question, THE REST OF YOU ARE MORONS. The person asking the question is looking for a tattoo to REPRESENT her children to go on HER...NOT to tattoo the kids!

Now that I've gotten that out of the way, footprints from when they were born can look nice, or maybe something a little more boyish. A good idea would be to talk to the artist you choose to go to. Let him/her know any ideas you may have. The artist may have some good suggestions as well. The two of you can talk it out and decide on something final, and the artist can draw it up. They can come up with some AMAZING pieces of art. Enjoy your tattoo!

I sure hope you are meaning that the tattoos are going on you and not your babies...

If they were born between May 21- June 20, I'd definitely incorporate the Gemini sign in because it's the sign of twins, but if they're 6 mo, then they weren't born then...

Yeah, you can have people draw it for you. I did a rough sketch of what I wanted and then took it to the tattoo parlor. They drew it better for me, but it was a very simple one. Think of something that is meaningful though, because this will be on you forever. And if you've never had a tattoo before, I'd try to keep it small and simple. This is simply because they are a little painful!

If you go to TattooJohnny.com and look at the banner tattoos there are many different types of banner designs and the have ones that have two banners on the same tattoo. you could also get a tattoo of something you like and have it colored with their birth stone colors. there are many different things you could try but I would look through that web site they have some really nice work. Good luck finding one. and you got some real idiots on here answering this question. no one in their right mind would tattoo a kid even if some loony-toon wanted their kid tattooed!

I just got my daughters initials in a heart on the inside of my forearm...it's kinda caddy-corner so I can alternate hearts up my arm for future children. I like the foot print idea that someone mentioned too. Or you could wait a little and get something important to them. And I think people are being retarded..."tattoo for my babies" to me was obviously you getting a tattoo in honor of your babies. And the idea that you could find a self respecting artist to tattoo a child is kind of ludicrous. I mean really.

Wow, everyone took this question totally wrong, didn't they!

I just got a tattoo for my son, on my upper right arm. It is a lizard circling around his name. And my boyfriend (his daddy) got a similar one on his left forarm, a lizard arching over our son's initials. We chose the lizard because when our son was tiny, we used to call him lizard man, because of a funny thing he did with his tongue.

And my mom got one for him as well. Her's is a wreath of vines on her back, and growing from one of the vines is a violet, to signify February, the month he was born. Her tattoo looks slightly lopsided, or unbalanced right now, but that is because he is her first grandchild and she is planning on adding to the tat when more babies are born.

I know portraits are a popular idea, but they're probably VERY expensive (I've never looked into it).

Maybe you could do something like my mom's flower idea, or go by astrological signs, or if there's something that stands out about each boy (like with my son and the lizard), you could incorporate that in.

Good luck!

God some people are idiotic. you are talking about tattoing yourself not you kids, arent you. Do you have any other tattoos? If you do, you will want something that kind of matches them. Go into a tattoo parlour and have a look, they will have plenty of both flash art and their own designs of dedication tattoos. I got a tattoo of a seahorse on my shoulder blade years ago, that i had drawn up, and my artist had never done a seahorse before, so he drew up a few others as flasn for his folios. Quite a few other people have since got his seahorses done and he had drawn up some lovely small ones with a scroll across them. I picked one and sat down with him and just got him to make a few small changes to the design, to make it more mine. I love them and my children know which tattoos belong to them, they like them too. Go and have a look, your bound to find something, eg their zodiac symbols, chinese birth year symbols or animals eg dog for you 6 month old, rooster or monkey for your 2 year old.

OK people she is talking about HER getting a tattoo not her children she sounds like a sweet innocent mother that just wants to represent her kids on her body...so please give her a break I think she is tired of hearing about child abuse and all that crap when you guys clearly can't read and understand the question she is just trying to think of a unique tattoo to represent her kids on HER body....and for the question I would say footprints or there initials or names and birthdays!!

hahahahaha i love that you wrote this question out like this. OBVIOUSLY you will not be tattooing your babies.... LOL but yes, it is misleading. I vote you spend a few bucks and grab a tattoo magazine. it will at least give you a few ideas. I think you need to wait alittle longer until the smaller child reveals more of their personality. that way, your tattoos will really stand for something, besides your love. Good Luck!

Just their names would do. I don't really fancy the tattoos I've seen where people put portraits of their loved ones. Tattoo artists are not THAT good.. The tattoos end up looking creepy.. Names are for-life and when they're older they'll know they meant so much that you had their names tattooed on. Leave faces for the pictures..
