After many years of searching, I became a Catholic, too. It's nice to know I am not the only one. Thanks for sharing and I hope your spiritual journey takes you closer to the truth everyday.

Depends on why you converted. A conversion doesn't necessarily imply anything about thought. I think a lot of kids these days turn to atheism because of impudence, which isn't respectable. My last ex was Catholic. She was a believer, but I appreciated her skeptical approach to her faith. Granted there are certain beliefs I could never come to terms with, no matter how much reflection the person had gone through, but in general I appreciate the effort and exercise.

i replaced into in no way completely a catholic. i assume considering my mothers and dads in no way fed me that from start the sole time it rather got here up replaced into in 8th grade as quickly as I had to have my 1st communion. I didnt rather take the entire difficulty heavily. I advise i'd have believed it at one factor besides the indisputable fact that it purely wasn't calling out to me. besides the indisputable fact that it wasn't until eventually my 1st year in college for the time of the 2d semester whilst i began thinking what replaced into considered a sin and what wasnt the place i began thinking the christian god's mentality and thats as quickly as I got here to R&S and thats what finally led me to think of that christianity and all different religions are purely looney. i'm agnostic in that I dont brush aside the entire god thought thoroughly, besides the indisputable fact that i individually think of that whether there's a god that no one has considered it. and that somewhat all religions would the two be delusional or they use spirituality for their political schedule. so a techniques Ive had no problems with buddhism or a minimum of so a techniques i'm heard no longer something approximately them or approximately hindus the two. yet christianity and islam are the two significant religions that to me look greater approximately manipulation or the two have been used greater for manipulation than different religions. I advise pondering how maximum of human beings are against abortion "simply by fact god suggested so" that style of says some thing yet to respond to your question in a nut shell. component to the reason an agnostic is as a results of the looney absurd stuff contained in the bible, the different is the component to me that i will't administration. you are able to no longer choose in case you have faith or dont besides the indisputable fact that this is encouraged. Im no longer disregarding the god or deity thought altogether simply by fact i'd have faith theres some thing obtainable, besides the indisputable fact that I wont persist with any faith the two in line with risk buddhism if I ever regarded into it. yet whilst this is purely too time eating and too plenty to check to be a buddhist then no thank you

You made a good choice in being a Christian, you can look forward to be in paradise with God when you die. Athesists dont really care about religion. They go with the flow of life. so to them it probably dosnt matter much to them, except they may ask why you chose to be a christian

What evidence did you find for the existence of god? What evidence did you find that living the catholic tradition pleases Him?

Athiests usually ask questions, it's in their nature, they're not ones to sit back on their laurels thinking they know it all.

I hate seeing my ideas of of the God haters brought out so easily. One answer you received actually said "Atheists usually ask questions, it's in their nature, they're not ones to sit back on their laurels thinking they know it all." I have shown time and again why accidental spontaneous life is impossible. This shown in a study of DNA and the chirality involved in building it. There are reasons for faith both in science and in the Bible showing that Jesus is indeed who He claimed to be. Those that deny it the most stringently have never studied these areas... Jim

Faith and religion are a personal choice. Follow your heart and dont be judged by others. It is your choice, just be happy.

I'm not an atheist, but I think it's terrific that you found the path that is right for you. That's all that matters, really.
Have a terrific weekend :)
