Then why didn't fundementalists get an increase in brain size? I guess its their diet of sweet tea and HoHo's.

I didn't realize that Australopithicus africanus (Aa, for convenience) was even still around today or that it ever had a brain size of anywhere near 1350cc. And I think they account for it like this: "[Aa], the skull of an infant ape which typically bore a slight resemblance to a human child's skull." In other words, the main reason that Aa is considered a missing link is because there has to be missing links and Aa happens to look the closest like what one should look like.
