I'm not talking about a child or a young person, I'm talking about a 70 year old woman that when she's in the same room working with you is pounding on the computer, laughing to herself, asking a lot of questions and just being a nuisance.

I had a job once with a similar situation. Thankfully, there were no rules against headphones. I popped a CD in and drowned her out. Even if you're not playing music, she might think you are and be quieter.

I work with a 40 something like that. Laughs so loud, reads emails aloud to herself, talks on the phone very very loud. We just shush her every moment. We are waiting for her to get fired. They have moved me into a different part of the building and I stopped getting headaches.

Oh, she also lights her cigarette before she leaves the building even though a) it's illegal and b) I have asked her on more then one occassion not to.

She is a friggin nuisance. LoL!!!!

tell her that while she is doing this stuff it is distracting to you as you work nearby and if she can't make an effort to contain herself and act according to your company protocol that you will talk to the boss. be upfront, she is 70 and maybe she doesnt realise these things are not acceptable.

Is her husband alive?
Does she have any kids?

If not, perhaps she is sad and craving attention.

Just see the other side.
