You can know someones name, but to understand that individuals will and purpose, what he requires from you in a relationship, takes knowledge and a desire to please him.
We do this for our potential spouses so why would we do any less for our God Jehovah?
I John 3:16, 17
Sad to say, most people want to pay lip service, it takes time and effort on our part and a willingness to conform our lives to Gods standards. This is what divides or stops most from getting to know Jehovah.
They simply do not want to change.

I think the situation would be much better if there wasn't the Israel problem. Most of the aggression between muslims and jews is stemmed from there. The issue is not just religion, but political too. The christian and muslim fight makes less sense especially since the Quran aknowledges that the christians (and jews) are considered to be believers if they believe in God, the day of judgement, etc. I wish we could get along. Religion should be private...I dont know why it changes your attitude toward someone. when I'm with nonmuslim friends religion hardly ever comes up. I dont hold any hostility toward any group

First of all, Muslims do not worship the same God as Christians. Matthew 3:17 "This is my beloved Son whom I am well pleased." "Anyone, who does not honour the Son, does not honour the Father and anyone who dishonours the Son dishonours the Father." John 5:23. This is found in the Holy Bible. Not the Quran.

They don't all worship the same god. 1 John 2:22 Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son 23 Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either, he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.

Who told you that the Islam's God is the same of Christian's God.
When they believe that God ask muslims to take a tax from all non-muslims specially Christians and Jews, But the Christian's God don't tell us such a this thing.
Their God allows them to marry 4 wives and our God didn't and don't allow us to do like them.
And for Jew's God was in Old Testament the same of our God who is Jesus Christ, but most of them didn't believe in him.

Jews don't agree with Christians that Jesus is the promised Messiah. Muslims don't really worship the same deity as Jews and Christians. They have a religion that borrows some things from the Old and New Testament of the Bible but as far as I can tell from comparing their religion to what the Bible teaches, it came from Satan who was masquerading as an Angel of light who deceived the prophet Muhammed (pbuh) into thinking that he was the Angel Gabriel.

2 Corinthians 11:13-15 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. 14 And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. 15 So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds.

Luke 1:26 In the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, 27 to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. And the virgin's name was Mary. 28 And he came to her and said, "Greetings, O favored one, the Lord is with you!" 29 But she was greatly troubled at the saying, and tried to discern what sort of greeting this might be. 30 And the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. 31 And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. And the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, 33 and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end."

Well, as we Jews pray every day the song of the sea to remind us of the demise of Egyptians at the Red Sea - Adonai Ish Milchama, Adonai Shmo - The Eternal is Man of War, His Name is Eternal - G'd has chosen conflict as His means of bringing redemption.

If we were all without sin, we would of course all live in harmony, and enjoy the peace emanating from the Temple in Jerusalem. But while we merit final redemption because of the covenant with the Patriarchs Avraham (Abraham, Ibrahim), Itzhack (Isaac, Issa) and Yakov (Jacob, Yakub), as well as the land of Israel, because of our sins we unfortunately do not merit peaceful redemption.

By the way, we certainly don't have the same G'd - our belief systems are quite different. Even within Judaism, I would doubt if the conservatives and liberals have the same G'd (do they at all?) as the orthodox.

Only the religious ones don't get along. The average person could care less and would just like to get along. It's a shame that in the name of God religious people ruin every ones life.

CORRECTION...
Christians and JEWS worship the same God, your Father in Heaven.

Muslims worship the god of the Moon, alilah.
