Several things.

First, Caipirinha is Brazilian, made with Cachaca, which is a type of Brazilian rum. Second, there is no mint in a Caipirinha, unlike a Mojito. A Mojito is made with light rum, but the taste is very different from Cachaca.

Also, the Caipirinha is made with straight granulated sugar, while a Mojito is made with simple syrup. With a Caipirinha, you muddle the limes and the sugar in the glass, while with a Mojito, you just pour lime juice and simple syrup in and only muddle the mint leaves.

Finally, a Mojito is made with soda water, a Caipirinha is not.
