Love those c hicken ceasar salads form Arby's, but the dressing is fattening, along with the bacon and eggs.
Why do we do this to ourselves?

I like this one, ordering a cheese burger and fries with a Diet Pepsi. Huh?

the simple simple solution is to get the salad with the dressing on the side or order another type of dressing that is not as fattening like something that is olive oil or soy bean oil based. fats are essential to overall health the metabolism will suffer when the fat intake is too low. ingesting fats doesn't make a person fat when they are consumed in the proper amounts. women need at least 20% of the daily calories to be derived from fats and males need 30%. if not then testosterone production suffers which causes not only a decrease in muscle mass but a decrease in the metabolic rate.

You're right, these fast food salads aren't any healthier than any of the other items on the menu. The demand for healthy foods just isn't high enough for the industries to change. Also, many people think that because it's called a salad and has some lettuce in it, it must be healthy. Many people are simply uneducated on good nutrition, or do not care.

This is a valid point. This is the reason why the part of the meal that is most touted as being healthy, is often the part that is the most loaded with empty calories.

For example the ceasar salad with chicken and dressing at Chilli's packs over 1000 calories. Here is their menu:

Just because the name says salad, that does not mean that it is lean or healthy. Here is more info about nutrition:
