Blues and Jazz use a LOT of Barre Chords... are you REALLY sure you want to start on playing Blues? You just need to find a music store that has a guitar teacher attached to it and get with him/her first... you need to learn a few basics... like CHORDS and reading music before you jump into Blues and that is where a teacher comes in... just look in the yellow pages and make a few phone calls and you will turn up someone.
