I plan to do cardio 5x's a week, strength training/lifting 3x's a week, and an ab workout everyday. Also, I am aiming to eat between 1400-1900 calories a day.

No, I'm not a man. I know that I need to start eating a higher number of calories to begin with and gradually cut them down. Otherwise my body will get use burning only the 1,200 calories I'm eating. I am very active; I play basketball for an hour and a half everyday, so I need more calories than the minimum. I appreicate everyone's input. If you have any tips about weight loss let me know.

No not unless you were really sick.. I know a girl that had hepititis and lost 25 lbs in like 4 days!!
Normal weight loss is 2lbs a week.. which would put it at 16lbs.. although you could lose 5 lbs the first week if you were on a 900-1000 calorie a day diet.. but that isn't good for 8 weeks.. maybe 2-3 weeks.. you can't starve yourself or your body will rebel on you and make you worse than you were!

meaning you will desire to lose an widely used of three pounds a week! i think of that's rather a possibility IMHO. No offense yet people who're obese tend to shed the surplus pounds quicker than people who're at their perfect weight. i'm assuming which you're obese at 213 pounds, so which you will desire to drop the burden straight away. workout for 20-40 minutes in line with days, purely drink water, and stay faraway from fried meals! you will desire to be sturdy to bypass! sturdy success!

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!

Absolutely. I would exercise every OTHER day - it gives your body a chance to heal.
Also, I went vegetarian to lose weight, because I was traveling so much that exercise wasn't an option. I detail it in my blog on myspace.com/thedavezone

Yes. To lose that much that fast, you might want to cut down the calories to like 1200-1500.

Yes, I'm assuming that you're a man though, otherwise that would be way too many calories.
