No, it just means that you don't have to subscribe to someone else's version of what your salvation should be. You are not, as someone suggested, agnostic. They believe that there is SOMETHING out there, but aren't really sure what. Not having religion is not the same as not knowing. It just means you don't fall into a classification of religion, but into the classification of faith. (Which is a far better place to be, if you ask my opinion). I have been without religion for quite some time, but I have deep faith and spirituality. I call myself Pagan because that's the closest to the path that I follow. You have found your own path, what you call it is up to you.

No. An atheist is someone who does not believe in god. A - meaning no and theist - meaning god.

An agnostic is someone who does not know whether there is a god or not.

There are lots of people who believe in god but who don't belong to a church or a religion. Many of them find a home with the Unitarian Universalists who are a religion but don't have a dogma or creed.

I don't think so. I love God and I am not religious and you know what? Jesus was not religious either. He tried to get people away from being too religious like the Pharisees. He didn't say you had to follow a religion but that you had to follow his example. He kept things really simple, unlike religious people. He said to obey all the commandments and laws all you had to do was love God and love other people unconditionally.

I think you have a clearer head than most. There is too much animosity and division because of different religions and denominations.

im going through the same thing. i looked each thing up. first of all duh ur not a atheist. even i knew that. atheists are people who dont belive in god/gods. now i thought u and i might b agnostics but one defintion says that agnostics are people who belive in god but dont have a religion and others says its when u dont have a religion and u dont belive in god so i donno. theist believe that god is all powerful and stuff but they dont have a religion. deists believe that god created us and then abandoned us. Im personally somewhere in between. you might call me a poser. I think the people who came u with these definitions are posers, lol

No - it makes you ignorant!! Atheist simply do not believe in a God. They can believe in a religion without one, be spiritual or magical.

So for your education - if you believe in a God - any god - you cannot possibly be atheist!!!

When Jesus said we should come to him through his Father in heaven, he didn't specify a certain religion. He welcomes all people who believe in him. You are not an atheist, because an atheist is some one who doesn't believe in God.

You're an agnostic--sort of. How can you believe in God but not have a religion?

No. The fact that you believe in a deity of any sort means that you are not an atheist.
