Jeff Gordon has all of my respect. He's the greatest. It made me respect Jr. now that I see how he respected Jeff.

Personally no because Jr. fans are extremely close minded and even though Jr. does respect Gordon Jr. fans can't accept that it was out of respect but it was only kindness for honoring his dad after winning 76 races. For all of you peple that hate Gordon get over it he's not going away for awhile and just enjoy Gordon's run for the Nextel Cup this year.

Everyone is just basically jealous. I personally think that alot of people respect him alot even if he isnt their favorite driver. Then their are the rare few who don't but they should because he is a great driver and you should give credit where credit is due and everything and his accomplishments cant be denied. The only reason taht people think he is gay and whatever is because of his success and that he got divorced and everything and he had to pay Brooke alot of money and everything else.. Everyone is just jealous that he was such a big rival to Jr. and Sr. even though their was never really a rival it was just something the fans made up kind of because they would always hate to see the other driver win like if Jeff won then the Sr. fans would be mad because he was having all this success and taking the spotlight away from Jr. and everything else and then vice versa.

Horaay for Jr!! Now if that was any other driver, who took the #3 flag after a win- that would have been okay!! But since it was Gordon, they take it the wrong way and if anybody was being disrespectful- it was the the fans- not Gordon!!

Man, it's just like any sport around. If someone wins a lot, the people that pull for other competitors/teams become haters. It's jealousy, plain and simple.
Gordon came in and starting beating Earnhardt and folks couldn't stand that. But the reason was, Earnhardt was helping Jeff out.
Also, since his death there suddenly seem to be 10 times the number of Earnhardt fans than before. TRUTH!

your right,,the man is not gay,,,have heard it from others very well connected in racing that have been around him in countless cities during the racing weekends...and they laugh at the notion that he is gay...but,,what are ya gonna do...if someones gonna think you are gay or doesn't show ya respect,,,cause ya win, beat their driver, don't fit their personal mold,or cause its just the only pitiful line they can come up with...gordon can't change their minds...and even if Jr appreciates what he did in the tribute, talks highly and shows respect for jeff...it might sway a few to show a little respect(at least not boo)...but not many....but hey,,,as THE MAN himself would always say...."THATS RACING"
