i was wondering about the reputation of 1wayphoto.com because i can't seem to find a BBB (Better Business Bureau, www.bbb.org) report on the site, which is what i do for almost any site that i am unsure of.

Their prices seem too good to be true, but they seem certified, according to their "testimonies".

A Nikon D200 for $529 ?!
A Canon 30D for $499 ?!
Don't even bother calling them. Those prices are less than half of what any reputable store charges. This is a fraud.

My friend just got the same treatment from them... a deal too good to be true, then a callback to buy extra batteries and faster memory cards (rather than use the "10-minute battery" ???) and chargers (even though the camera kit comes w/ camera). Their policy page says "Product images and part numbers listed are for reference only." Huh? There are a shocking number of resellers like these guys. Take some advice I learned the hard way... buy online photo gear only from these sources:
adorama.com
bhphoto.com

They are lowest price of any *legitimate* reseller. Amazon and Rits are close seconds.

I found them online the other day, and figured I would give them a try. I ordered the Nikon D200 from them for $529. Normally $1200 -$1600. I then contacted my banking institution to have them make note of the authorized amount. I found that on "resellerratings.com" 1WAYPHOTO.com had only one feedback, and it was poor. From what I can see, it seems to be a "bait and switch" tactic. If you don't order a full package of their highly overpriced peripherals, the product will be mysteriously "out of stock" which is in fact what happened to me. I notified them of my intention to post negative comments on "resellerratings.com" and with their better business beureau. I suppose that I will see if they end up coming through for this, of if they are false advertisers. From what I can tell so far, I would not I think reccommend them.

The site is not even listed on resellerratings.com because it's a brand new name.

I wonder why they changed their name.
