like how la blusa in Spanish sounds like blouse in English, & both mean the same thing.

There's a word for that occurence & I think it starts with a "c" but I can't remember what it is.

It's called a cognate.

Cognate are words with a common origin (and thus might sound similar); they don't neccessarily have the same meaning (cf: dish [English] and Tisch ["table", German]).

Homonyms are words that sound alike but have slight differences in spelling or pronunciation and have different meanings
