I like to go when all of the produce and meat is stocked and fresh, but when it's not very busy. I learned today that Friday is a good day for stock, but a BAD day for crowds! Must be since people get paid today. It was like feeding time at the zoo and someone rammed their cart into me, and I was NOT in the way.
I used to like going on Sunday mornings before church lets out, it's never busy but they never have the good food out yet. Although, it seems like a good time to go if you are single, because men seem to like Sundays.
Hmmmmm??? What do you think?

Check with your store as to how early they stock the fresh stuff on Fridays and go on Fridays if groceries are what you are looking for. Sundays might be reserved for eye candy only.
Don't mind the first bozo who answered, it's obvious mommy does the weekly grocery shopping.

I've never been too particular about the day although weekends seem like the worst time to go because crowds make me tired, time of day -I'm a morning shopper and how early depends on how fast the store gets crowded. Probably Tuesday, don't know why

I know that my family and I try to go later at night when the crowds have died down, and there isn't so much traffic!! It seems like Thursday and Friday nights are like the feeding time at a zoo, crowds of people everywhere! I try to go late at night, and if you are worried about going out at night by yourself,I would take a few friends along,or some of your family so you won't be going out by yourself.
It seems to me that late Friday night into early Saturday morning is the best time, because some sales are still going on at the grocery stores, and the night stockers are restocking EVERYTHING!! I hope that this helps and I know what you mean about crowds of people in the stores,I hate it when that happens too,GRRR!! I hope that this has been helpful for you?? ;-)

I either go early in the morning or late in the evening. I find that the crowds aren't as bad as the middle of the day. I also do most of my grocery shopping during the week.

2:00 a.m. for 24 hour stores.
Otherwise I try to arrive about an hour before closing, or two hours if I know I will take a long time, to avoid the crowds. If I'm grabbing a quick thing, maybe 15 minutes before but I try to check out at least 5 minutes before closing so I don't annoy the cashiers by keeping them late.

At my local store, they get one of their stock trucks in late on Friday's so I try to go on Saturday morning before 10am - That way, they get the truck unloaded & items stocked, but the store doesn't get crowded til about lunch or later.

i bypass approximately 8am on Sunday Mornings. something later and it gets busy. yet 8:00 seems to be the slowest around right here because of the fact all and sundry seems to be a million on the threshold of bypass to church, 2 at church all waiting or 3 hung over and not going to be away from mattress yet. yet like maximum issues diverse cities have diverse sluggish circumstances.

During the day I have to say it's when everyone is still at work. Never go hungry, because you'll be more impulsive to buy everything that looks good.
