If Canada, ALL of Latin America, and the European Union oppose the barbaric, Nazi measures you want to take against illegal immigrants, what makes you think you, who most likely have never been out of the country, are right?

Some people can travel all over the world and still remain with their minds and hearts closed! Sad but true.

Did you read the question posted by some guy that wanted to "exterminate" all illegal Mexicans?http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AtN96LOOdtGbW6i8ZE3mlY7sy6IX?qid=20070427134542AARYt26&show=7#profile-info-gpVkuhaRaa
Anyone in their right mind would treat people like what they are PEOPLE. If you don't agree, you've got serious problems!

First, this is not some "barbaric, Nazi measures". Second, because it is our country and we have a right to want to defend it. If Canada, ALL of Latin America and the European Union have no problems with illegal immigrants (which I find extremely difficult to believe) then all the illegals are welcome to go to any of those countries. My husband has immigrated here LEGALLY so I understand the process all too well and that give me every right to be angry about people who have no regard for the law or the process. America has no problem with immigration, as long as it is done legally...and in case you weren't aware (since so many people don't seem to get this), there ARE measures and processes in place to immigrate LEGALLY. Countries have a right to know who enters their lands, where, why and for how long...they also have the right to deny people entry to their lands...the illegals however do NOT have a right to disregard the laws and enter these countries illegally.

No, I don't think what you are stating is correct. I am US born and have naturalized Canadian citizenship, living in Canada. I have never heard anything about Canada being opposed to the measures the US wants to take against illegal immigrants. I think, if anything, Canada is just glad that they are not the country just north of Mexico and Central America or they would be experiencing the problems the US is experiencing. Canada does not welcome illegal immigrants here, either. It is just by the blessing of geographic location that Canada does not have the problem with illegal immigration that the US has.

As well, if you read around this site, you will see that most of the legal citizens of European countries are very fed up with illegal immigration, as well.

I think it is fair to say that European and North American countries all welcome legal immigrants. Even Mexico hates the illegal immigration problem they have to deal with, particularly from Central America and South America.

What you have is a quote from ONE PERSON - with the suggestion that it represents the 'whole world' - except of course those that are pro enforcement of immigration laws.

Considering what I have seen from others around the world that are English (and other languages as well) within Yahoo Answers - I think that you have a poor grasp upon how many view the problems that they are facing even in the EU countries.

There are several that post here from Europe that would totally disagree with what you suggest and what Javier Solana said.

I lived in Italy for 7 years alone - and have visited over 10 others. Each and every country I entered legally and totally respected and followed the laws of that country.

How many countries have you been to?

Considering our closest neighbor south, Mexico, and their immigration laws and how they enforce them - I feel more than safe with saying that even they would not agree with such an approach if it was being directed towards them and their similar stand as the United States when it comes to their own southern border. The difference between the two - Mexico is much harsher than the United States.

People just don't now how much this wall will affect the US so bad. Most of them have lived in the US, and the US only. If two out of the three country's in North America believe that this wall shouldn't be built, then it shouldn't be built. And to have the European Union agree with them makes it even more irrational to build this wall. This won't bring peace, only conflict between Mexico and the United States. Not only will it effect relationships with the US, but also the economy, its called NAFTA people, look it up. If you have two countries that rely on each other for trade, and they end up in a disagreement, your going to have a really big problem.

Let just take them one at a time.

Latin America, no bias from that part of the world is there. With millions of Latin Americans trying to escape their oppressive and corrupt countries, why would they want to close the only road they have to freedom. For the most part their own governments are glad to see them leave.

Canada has a huge problem facing them. Without immigration they think their economy will flounder as their population has basically stopped growing without it. Their government needs new workers to bolster their massive social programs and for cheap labor. They see the United States efforts to stem the tide of illegal immigration as drawing attention to their own problems and awakening their own people to real Canadian immigration problems. Unlike the U.S. most of Canadian immigration is done legally.

Europe is dying on the vine. Faced with a declining and aging population the lack of new workers threatens their economies as well. The last thing they want is their own people being alerted to the real problems they face. The U.S. by addressing its problems is drawing attention to Europe’s.

The bottom line is none of these countries really cares about doing anything that would benefit America. The last thing they want is the prices of the goods they trade with the U.S. to go up because cheap illegal labor could no longer be abused.

You don't do anything but cheapen your cause when you call legitimate issues of United Sates sovereignty "barbaric" or "Nazi" measures. Makes you look like a fool in fact.

Honey, you should see what Germans do with them. Handcuff and deport on the spot, the whole Nazi parade with dogs, police, guns, and with special pleasure if a guy will be executed in his country for political reasons. Then they scream bloody hell at America to conceal their true Nazi nature. Travel a bit, see for yourself. And try to be black in Germany. No ban on the N word there, and boy, do they enjoy using it.

I have traveled all over the world. I have been to both first and third world nations. If the above mentioned nations were having the magnitude of illegal aliens that the US is having I'm sure you would hear a different tune. First of all none of those country's have any say so in the laws of this government, they do not live in a border state and see the problems with illegal aliens. So they have no right to comment on something they have not experienced first. Your thinking can be reversed ,what gives them the right, since they don't live here,to give an uninformed opinion on whats right or wrong for American here in America.

News buddy. I listen to the BBC and both France and England is putting up far more stringent rules than America in regards to immigration. In Netherland its the number one issue, but the Anti immigration President is most likely will be replaces with one that is for it.

Wow! When did the USA start gassing the illegal aliens? I thought that when caught, the illegals are given medical exams, feed and housed and given free transportation back home.

Where as in Mexico, they go to jail for 2 or more years.

Where did you get your facts? Did you just make them up?

He's entitled to his opinion, but I think you are stretching to take his opinion as that of all of the EU or of Canada (which is only concerned about the northern border which isn't such a sieve), and I see nothing about Nazis or barbarism.

And I've been out of the country, oh, occasionally.
