Take all of the junk you usually binge on OUT OF YOUR HOUSE. Throw it away, or donate it to a food bank. Go to the grocery store and buy ONLY fruits, vegetables, non-fat dairy, whole grain bread, tuna, chicken, and salmon. Then you will only have healthy things to binge on, and since they aren't full of refined sugar, processed flours, and fatty fatness, you won't want to eat so much of them as you would donuts, chips, etc.

Good innit, people who eat little usually manage to live longer.
I'm a bit of a stuffer myself. Trouble is the heavier you get the more you crave. There is a lot said about the body mass index but there is also a natural fat level that is individual for each person. When people diet they upset this level and the body will spring back to that level once the diet is ended. Dieting can also atler the metabolism so that the natural fat level is increased.
So if you want to eat, eat. Just make sure that you're eating more from the fruit and vegatable store than the cake stand.
Are you really sure it is over eating and not sugar craving? Sugar craving causes over eating, and I think a little comfort eating happens to most people
Basically, then. Make your own rules, and try not to transgress them too much. Don't cut out on a food, unless you have a good reason, as most foods have something to offer the nutritional pallete. Variety, as they say is the spice of life.
This adage is a good rule to live by, breakfast like a king, dine like a lord, and supper like a pauper
Don't forget to consider what you drink when reckoning your calorific intake. Dining like a lord does not mean a liquid lunch.
What you are talking about is life style changes, and also attitude changes. Your question implies a feeling of guilt and to stop over eating is putting yourself on the defensive. So why not try and turn it round and go for the best diet ( in the generic sense) and life style you can?

I think you know this is not healthy.
Only you can control this. You have to totally aware of how much you are eating. Here are a couple of tips that I know will help from experience.
1. Eat throughout the day - don't skip meals because this will guarantee that you will overeat once you start.
2. Get some protein in each meal - carbs will make you hungry again sooner.
3. Drink a full glass of water before you start to eat - fills you up a bit and leaves less room for extra food you don't need.
4. Know that it takes up to 20 minutes to feel full after eating, so wait! Tell yourself that you will only eat a small portion and then wait 20 minutes. If you are truly still hungry, then you can have a little more. (You will almost always not be hungry 20 minutes later.)
Good luck!

I sympathise with you on this, I am the worlds worse comfort eater, well, not so much eat and inhale food! Scary!
Finally decided enough is enough, I felt so ill with it to!
So I actually joined Slimmers World, as I was told you could eat and never feel hungry. Its actually true, and I actually lost 4 lbs on my first week! Healthy food only of course, but instead of sitting eating, I am wading my way through lots of interesting recipes and books and planning menus.#
My husband has joined me now, as my meals looked more tempting then his! Is nothing sacred?
You know it makes sense, otherwise all you have to look forward to is either an unhappy life at best, at worse a heart attack - Go for it, if I can do it - anyone can! Good luck.

Depends on what it is you overeating. Fruit is fine though a story that eating 10 bananas can lead to potassium poisoning. Not sure if thats true. Try to cut down stuff like buiscuits and burgers. Dont forget to have a good amount of water. Sometimes it might be thirst have a glass before you eat.Take care of yourself

Very unhealthy. You are setting yourself up for some serious eating disorders if you continue. Talk to your doctor and a nutritionist, that is essential in maintaining a healthy eating attitude.

Drink particularly some water. whilst your physique is dehydrated it may seem which you're hungry whilst in fact you're thirsty. earlier you consume your food drink an 8 ounce glass of water to maintain from over ingesting. once you're hungry at different situations drink a tumbler of water first. you may in simple terms be thirsty. Take care.

If you're over-eating, something is causing it. Address the root cause as diets won't help.
