Yes they're harmful to everything - recluse spiders are on of the most venemous spiders of all along with the brazilian wandering spider. From what I remember when I was researching pet spiders.

Hi,
Yes they can do a great deal of damage to an animal the size of a cat. The cat could lose a limb if bitten. Look up some pictures of humans bitten by one and you'll see what I mean. If your's was bitten bring it to the Vet right away!

brown recluses are one of the most poisionous spiders. if bitten and left untreated whether on a human or an animal it can kill you
if you're cat was bitten get it to the vet ASAP!

if it bit the cat or if the cat ate it the its probly going to die take it to the vet see if they have anything to give it so it wont die and scwash the spider unless she ate it already
