treats their own kids this way or worse? Whether it's you, your family or friends, there are too many cases of children being mistreated, abused, etc. This is minor compared to what some kids endure at the hands of their so called parents these days, we should all be just as outraged about those cases. I for one have a bro-in-law who treats my niece like she is a piece of garbage & it breaks my heart for her!

Maybe because it does bring to light the behavior we all know of and shows that it's NOT normal and it's not ok (those raised in abusive households may tend to repeat the pattern out of normalcy). And in a sense we rather be "better than" than face the truth that we have all had moments of poor parenting. Also, he's a media icon, for some reason those "idols" are still held to higher standards, even though they keep proving that they range from positive to negative role models....just a thought...

Why did everyone get so angry at Britney Spears when she tripped while carrying her baby? Because we are Americans, and we are nosy, gossipy, sometimes insensitive people.
We've all tripped carrying our child, at least once. Just as I'm sure that we've all said something hateful or hurtful to our child at least once. I am not trying to justify Alec Baldwin's actions, because I do think they are wrong. However, there is a lot going on in the courtroom and in his (and his daughter's) home lives that we don't know about.
And we all make mistakes, sometimes even huge ones!

I think we should all leave him and his family alone. Obviously parent's are humans and they make mistakes. He must have been put up with a lot of divorce games to be this angry! I think everyone needs to mind their own business and leave that family alone. The sad thing is, you can tell he is that angry only because he cares about talking to his daughter and not being able to is hurting him. I don't agree with the names he called his daughter but every parent has reacted to things in different ways. I think we all need to mind our own business. What doesn't kill children will make them stronger and more capable in the real world where people won't do things to spare their feelings.

You are justifying his tirade by comparing it to people who do worse things..... not people who treat their kids with respect and a higher standard. There is a "worse case" to almost anything, so why sink to that level as a comparison- you should always aim higher. I think what he did is hardly unique, but since he and Kim Bassinger have been feuding for years, he likely has misdirected anger towards her....and the kid is at the receiving end of the stick.

i agree with you. things much worst then this go on everyday and it doesnt seem to matter. but when someone whos famous makes this kind of mistake its like the end of the world. too many people today are to busy with other peoples buisness. this should never had gotten so big, its ridiclous and uncalled for.
