Why don’t Mexican’s try to make their country a better place to live, instead of fleeing their country? Force their own government to support them.

If the truth be told 65% of the worlds poor would come if they had the chance. The Mexican just have a express lane. We should really asked ourselves what type of country do we want. For myself we need to not grant amnesty of any form, then hold the business and individual that hire them with stiff fines and jail time if repeatedly break the law. We need workplace enforcement. I am not for deportation, but I shed no tears for the cries that we are breaking up families. When the illegals crossed the border more often than not they crossed alone. It didn't seem to bother them to leave their families behind. We watch them daily crossing with only the clothes on their backs, what, we should hire moving vans to make sure when they return they take all their things with them. What a system they must have if one day they cross, only with the shirts on their backs and the next day are undercutting the wages of U.S. citizens.

I agree with Xcelic. I have a strong problem with giving Amnesty for the illegals already here. Its rewarding those who do break the rules. If so many dislike Mexico, its better to make Mexico more like us. The thing is the solution must come from them. Another problem with immigration is that we are not helping anyone solve the problems in Mexico. If we let them run away, they'll never solve the problem at home.

All immigration should be legal as long as they get background checks and meet other requirements. Our country was founded by immigrants and we have a long history of immigration. Why would we deserve to live in this country more than other people? Americans are not naturally born better than others. If someone says that they are discriminatory and arrogant. I believe that "all men are created equal" so all should be able to come to this country-not just Canadians or the British. In other countries their borders don't even matter that much. If every ones border was closed than we would have to stay in the same country all our life. This nation of immigrants must allow all to live in this great country.

The ones that are here are no more special than the ones who wish to come here. If we had a guest worker program, then they would be able to "take turns" coming over to work. Back ground check them like crazy to make sure that they're not criminals. No matter what the anti's say, we need some to do the work that I myself wouldn't do.

What poll? My family loves Mexico and they do not want to leave because I am in the US already to send them money so they don't need to.
But you should give amnesty to anyone who wants it.
