Well, how much will you be crying in October when the troops are still there?
Or will you apologize for being such a sorry loser when it doesn't happen according to your fever dream?
Nah, you'll just keep posting your ignorant trolls. What a loser.

The troops are not dying for nothing. They are dying for what they believe in. Not necessarily in the Iraq war, but in the fact that they have a sacred duty to this nation and to the people of this nation to put their lives on the line if the President and Congress deem it necessary.
That being said, I agree with Barack Obama in labling the war in Iraq a "dumb war."
No, I would not be sad to see America leave Iraq. The loss of a child (and though my children are too young for service, I lost a brother, and I had to watch my father go through that) would not make me want more lives sacrificed in an unjust cause.
We had no business in Iraq. We do have a responsibility to the Iraqi people to help them form a stable goverment, but we've already done more than our part. If the various factions within Iraq hate each other so much that they can't unite, no amount of lost American lives can bring them together.
Let's bring the troops home. But let's respect the great service they've given us, and the sacrifices they've made. No American serviceman truly dies for "nothing."

You must have lost family there.
I am sorry, I pity you. Very sorry.
But I would not be angry if they left or stayed. I am a kind of well, here we are kind of person. I try to deal with what is...we are at war and if we continued to be I would deal with that...if we were not I would deal with that too
I would most likely be drowning in grief because I only have one child, a daughter.
I don't know what I would do. I would want to kill myself. But honestly, I would accept that this is what my daughter wanted to do.
I know myself very well, and while I would be very sad, finding it hard to go on, I would not place blame.
My dad went to Vietnam, just a plain guy, no special stuff, but I found out later that he saw some horrible stuff. He never talked about Vietnam at all. But I found out when I did a paper in school about it. I found some letters from him and it showed what city he was in and I went TO Vietnam as a tourist.
I hope you can learn to go on after you lost your relative. It must be hard. I will pray for you.

You are mistaken on two counts:
1. The troops will be in Iraq past 2010
2. We will win
The soldiers who died in Vietnam died in one of the most noble efforts in the history of humanity. It is a sad thought that after seeing what that betrayal of trust brought to SE Asia (over 4 Million murdered after the war ended) that there are still some who contemplate betraying our soldiers and the citizens of Iraq who depend on us for support. There is only one recourse in the war and that is to win it.

There's a difference here as of right now between this war and Vietnam. A BIG difference..... There was drafting in Vietnam. The people that are over there now are there because they CHOSE to be.

Yes, I'd want every other parent to lose their children in this so called war for which only they are risking their lives (or anything else) over, because I'm just as stupid as all the rest of us conservative, wave the flag (someone else paid for) but don't pay for this war, hypocrites.

Spilling more blood will not justify blood already spilt.
This war was a mistake and many lives were lost because of this huge error. Losing more lives will not correct that. Bring our kids home Bush. Or send yours too.
