I have posted on craigslist asking for one, and checked around a few places, but I can't seem to find one.

I'm not asking for one, I am just curious where I can find one.

I would pay an adoption fee or travel for one, I just can't seem to find one around here (Columbus, OH), and I was wondering if anyone knows where or how I could find one.

I had one before and he was the sweetest kitty ever, so that's why I want one this color. I know color has nothing to do with temperment, but I want another kitty like my last one. I'm finding several on petfinder.com

I know that white cats with blue eyes can be deaf, not always though.

Check the internet because as I have read in many cat books White cats with both eyes blue are usually deaf. Thats why most white cats will have two color eyes if one is blue and the other is gold, green or something. Search the internet and find out about what I said. White cats with blue eyes are often deaf.

White cats with blue eyes carry the deafness gene, just so you know. Not that owning a deaf cat is a bad thing, but I don't think responsible breeders breed from these cats, the deafness gene is a mutation caused by inbreeding in the first place.

Most kittens have blue eyes and they change with age. Adult white cats with blue eyes tend to be deaf, just a heads up there.

Try local animal shelters and newspapers. I want to warn you, though, that almost every single pure white cat with blue eyes is deaf. Turkish Angoras are sometimes all white with blue eyes-- try finding one on http://purebredcatbreedrescue.org/.

- local humane society(ies)
- local animal shelter(s)

I used to work with a humane society and they would contact the person when they got what the person were looking for if they didn't have it the day the person came.

Maybe you can place a reservation at a pet store or tell them to contact you when they get new cats of the kind you want. I had a white cat too. It's cute...but it's gone...sadly...good luck. bye!

Check back at the shelter every week or so, give it time and one will come through.
