Since i was a baby i have enjoyed the sounds of white or static noise. The TV on mute, the sound of an engine running smoothly, hairdryers, the static on an un-tuned television.
Luckily my boyfriend does too.
But we need a name for this, and if possible, a reason.

There are lots of machines you can buy that produce white noise - people like to listen to it in their homes and offices. It is very common.

That so interesting that you like it, I mean, because I've always hated it. Which is a pain because I can detect it instantly. I usually feel when a television is on when I enter a building or sometimes even when I only walk past. It's terrible. It makes me feel a bit sick sometimes and slightly disoriented. Good luck finding out though. It should be interesting....
