Since the whole massive detox industry is current urban myth, you can save every penny by doing nothing! It all began in Edwardian age when the well to do became chronically constipated as it was fashionable to avoid vegetables, and thus needed enemas.
Eat a balanced diet with plenty of fresh produce, don't smoke or take any non-prescribed medication and restrict your alcohol. Start taking regular exercise with that lot and consider yourself detoxed! The large bowel is effectively emptied and refilled in 24 hours or less in patients with good diets!
There seems nothing that the gullible public will not try in their fruitless search for magical cures and instant and effortless ( on their part) fixes, even when they don't actually have a disease!

some detoxes work. But head ache and nausea happens. Detox is not to loose weight, not at all. So if you want to follow a detox diet, it won't help you too loose weight unless you are holding up water. It Will help to get the artificial sweeteners out of your body. But it brings some discomforts.

if done properly, yes they do. steer clear of the water-only detox. that is not good for your body as the detox does not give your body any calories or fat in order for your body to properly carry out normal functions. it is also not a good idea because flushing all that water into your system bring out the toxins that were stored in your body. without vitamins and minerals to cling to the toxins and carry them away, they are just re-circulated in your body.
go to www.about.com and read about some different detox diets where you can still eat food. good luck!
