I'm seriously considering becoming a wiccan. The wicca religion really interests me and so many of the beliefs, ethics, and practices make sense to me. I've been doing much research online and will ne heading to the bookstore as soon as I've got some spending money. So I would really jsut like to see how many true wiccans are out there. If you're in the broom closet and are reading this i would apreciate knowing you're out there, but I would never want to ask you to do anything that you feel would be wrong. Thank you everybody!

I'm a solitary and I haven't been initiated into a coven so there are some who wouldn't consider me a "true Wiccan" but I do follow the Wiccan religion.
If you're looking at books, pick up Scott Cunningham, definitely a good place to start. Don't start with Silver Ravenwolf.

If you're looking to do some reading, I'd recommend "Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner" by Scott Cunningham, and "The Triumph of the Moon" by Ronald Hutton. I advise you to stay away from anything by Silver Ravenwolf, for reasons outlined in the following essay:

Celtic Pagan here, know many Wiccans though and used to be Wiccan. Stay away from Silver Ravenwolf though, she can be a bit odd.

I'm an agnostic theist, but my prayer practice corresponds most closely to witchcraft: I try not to ask for anything that would interfere with another's free will, and I often use candles and ritual to focus my prayer. Wicca is a very peaceful religion with much beauty. Blessings on your Path!
