The invasion of Iraq was not well thought out. That being said, this war and Iraq has become a magnet for all the jihadists in the middle east to destabilize the country, kill Americans, and cause instability in other countries.
The biggest culprit in this mess is Iran. The whole middle east is deeply concerned about Iran and its intentions, should the US pull out. Because of the evil shown by Iran and it's power grabbing agenda, strange, new relationships are evolving.
The moderate Gulf states are so concerned over Iran and Syria, that an alliance with Israel has evolved. The US is no longer a reliable ally, and country's such as Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Jordon, Lebanon, perhaps even Egypt, are prepared to work out a pact with Israel, rather than trust the Persians.
I'm not sure what that meaningless check list is about, following your question, but I feel confidant that my explanation has creditability and good cause to stand by the moderates in the middle east, along with the people of Iraq.

How about blaming our fellow Democrats John Kerry, John Edwards, Chris Dodd, and Hilliary Clinton who all voted for the war?
How about blaming the UN for not allowing us to finish the job in 1991?
How about blaming Jimmy Carter for destabilizing the region in 1979?
How about blaming every president since Jimmy Carter for encouraging us to remain dependent on foreign oil?
This didn't start with Bush or the GOP, our party was just as guilty.

It wasn't for them
Oil was at $22 a barrel before the invasion and Chevron was making $2 Billion a quarter. Exxon and chevron have made hundreds of Billions
Halliburton/Cheyney has made hundreds of billions from the Taxpayers. Cheyneys Huston Homie Hamid Karzai is now the worlds largest Heroin Dealer.
Mission Accomplished....!!!

"650,000 dead"
When are you lefties going to admit that is a collossal stupid bloody figure pulled out of your collective arses?
Neville Chamberlain thought fighting was a waste and unneccesary, too, and look what we had to face as a result of him and the "peace at any price" crowd. You guys are his modern-day heirs. Thank God the adults are in charge, at least for the time being. But not to worry, you and your gang of appeasers will probably soon get the chance to offer more compromises and forfeit more freedoms all for "peace in our time". Bloody fools never learn.

Many do. As a fiscal conservative I will say it to anyone. The Bush League attack on Iraq was a huge mistake and it has backfired in the legitimate fight against al-Qaeda.

G W BUSH got revenge for them planning to kill his father, and that is the only reason we went there. It is time to pull out and let the civil war take place. We laid the foot work for it; now let it happen with out American Troops in the middle of it.
