The mind of a bigot is like the pupil of the eye; the more light you pour on it, the more it will contract.

Let's hope so. The prejudice is astounding, but look around. Look at what black people put up with, to this very day. With religious zealots who love to condemn and to pontificate (to make their self-righteousness look special), it is no wonder the world is in a mess. But, people will see through all of this nonsense, and intelligent people will prevail -- although, I sometimes wonder about that, considering the leadership and the people who gave the votes.

Will it stop? I hope so. I truly hope so.
In my lifetime, no, I don't think it will. Just as it has taken so long for African Americans so long to get as far as they have, it will take gay Americans a long time, too.
[to Y G L: I love that quote.]

I agree, prejudice that is based on skin color, sexual orientation, sex, religion...etc is very wrong. And please, Bush is a wacko, I'm glad we'll get rid of him soon. I mean he thinks he's God's hand on earth. I bet God sent him as a curse.

Just as they were forced, kicking and screaming, into allowing blacks to vote and be able to marry whites, this prejudiced attitude will be a thing of the past.

Surely you didn't expect Bush to be ethical? After all that's his M-O.

There is no government prejudice against gays. Just because at this moment the government doesn't advocate people being gay doesn't mean the government is prejudice against them. As long as there are people who believe the bible, they will vote like God wants them to. People vote in the government leaders.

well yes but think about it though, no offense to gays or anything but they weren't ment to be or mate with eachother, men are to mate with women, thats it, and recently in pennslyvania they showed a video to little children that were 5 YEARS OLD!!! that saw a video about gays and that they are still people too, i believe that yes gay's are people too but there influence should stay away from young children because of their "different" actions children might see that as ok to do and its really not, no offense to gays or anything
