Chilli Beans.

Here in Texas, we like our "chili" very simple - simmered beef, chilies, spices and a sprinkling of crushed saltine crackers on top. Maybe some onions and cheese, but only if you are hungry. NO beans - only people from outside the South put beans in their chili.

Aside from that, I would say chili is good for you. Just ask my 90-year-old grandmother. She's been eating it all her life.

Of course it's good for you. It is a meal in a bowl. Beans are an excellent source of protein. It can be made with just about anything and gives a lot of people pleasure competing to make the best.

Whether Chili is good for you depends on the meat used in it.
The beans ans tomatoes are very good for you. If you use ground turky the chili would be very good for you.
If not ground turkey , use extra lean meat.

Beans are very good for you. Sometimes there is a lot of fat in Chile, but that gives it flavor. It's fine if you don't over do. Most things are fine if you don't over do.
