I'm mad at those who want to make public policy based on religious beliefs that are outdated by millennia.
I have no problem if you want to believe that science is evil but I have a big problem when you want to ban science that you don't like or require the teaching of religious fables in science class. This is the same thing that Mao did in China and Stalin did in Russia. Basing it on christianity does not make it any better than basing it on communism.
I have no problem if you don't want to engage in premarital sex or gay sex, if you don't want to use birth control, if you don't want to marry people because of their sex or religion or race but I have a big problem when you want to make these activities illegal.
I have no problem if you don't want to drink or smoke (tobacco or other substances) or use drugs but I have a big problem when you want to prohibit me from doing it.
The list of things christians want to prohibit or require just seems to get longer and longer. It's not even that I want to do some of the things that christians want to ban. It's the principle of the thing. Something that christians seem to lack.

It's not anger, more frustration. It's hard to describe, without offending believers, but imagine if you lived in a county where everyone believed in Santa Claus, and believed that in order to be a good person you had to believe in Santa Claus, and that anyone who didn't was either lying, crazy, or a terrible, terrible person. When their belief is questioned, believers respond by saying that Christmas Carols talk about Santa Claus *and* snow, and since we know snow exists, Santa must, too. Plus, there's all the presents at Christmas time (some labeled "from Santa"), and there was once this really cool aunt of Jimmy's who used to hand out cookies to the homeless every year and *she* believes in Santa Claus. Are you saying she's evil!?
If theist types would just be tolerant of other beliefs (including non-belief), and accept that position as a valid possibilty, they wouldn't be nearly as much anger and much more frank and open two-way discussion. Monotheism, by default, unfortunately, is very intolerant.

Many Christians and atheists think the other is very annoying(often thinking the other is trying to force their opinion on them.) Often Christians think atheists are stupid because they can't see the "truth" of Christianity. Some atheists think Christians are brainwashed and ignorant for believing in what basically amounts to an adult version of Santa Clause. So they bate each other because it's fun. Hang out around the Society & Culture > Religion & Spirituality area and enjoy. It's fun for a laugh every once and a while.

I don't think they're really angry, just annoyed. You know how when you read something it always seems more hostile than if you were hearing it.
Many people are frustrated with living in a predominantly Christian society and choose to take out their frustrations on individual christians. It's misguided, but kind of understandable.
On the other hand, some of the religious people here enjoy being either damning or deliberately obtuse to any questions people may raise.
I think both sides could behave better.

I get angry when someone outright tells me my faith is wrong. The fact is, despite what some people have been told, no one knows the truth about the existence, will, or nature of God.
I also am very uncomfortable with the radical right attempts to teach religion veiled as science in the schools, to pass legislation that will effectively make reproductive and end-of-life decisions for me, and to dictate who may commit their lives to whom.
Most Christians are wonderful people, but the far right angers me.

I am not angry about religion or faith just angry about the few individuals who try to push their beliefs on others. You are an individual and your opinion is exactly that "yours". So please do not try to convince me that I will go to hell just because what I believe is different from what you may believe (this is not directed specificaly at you just a general statement). I have taken many theology classes on various religion and all tend to believe one universal concept-right from wrong. All the other stuff is just how you view right from wrong.

Most people are just angry period. Some are angry because of the ignorance and hypocrisy of a few that tout certain religions like a necklace that they take off when it suits them. And some are just tired of people asking them to join the flock, and pushing them to convert.
Does this make sense to you?

Is this towards atheists? If so, I believe in the magic cat god so......I'm not mad at Christians, some of them just annoy me. The angry tone from here are coming from those without religion having to hear stupid questions from those who have religion.

I'm not angry, but I might be able to offer some possibilities:
Mention of God in the pledge and on money for a supposedly religion neutral government.
"Faith based" initiatives
Atheists are the most distrusted group in America.
The only reason why gays can't marry is because of a religious argument.
"You're going to hell."
"You're immoral and amoral."
"I'll pray for you."
People trying to teach Creation to my children in a public school.
The list goes on.
