The secret is to maintain that good health. Get a good doctor, wash hands very often, find and use a good program for medication, and most ,importantly get a reliable support network including friends, family, and a community support group. Yes, the sickness can be deadly, but it can go into remission, and it can be lived with. Tell your friend to live life to the fullest she can.

Your friend should talk to a doctor who specializes in treating HIV positive patients and start taking the appropriate antiviral medications to delay active AIDs. She should also take appropriate precautions in any intimate contact, or risk passing the infection on to others.

Your other question sounds like she has oral thrush. She will have to get treatment for that. She needs to be put on anti-virals.
