I am a huge smoke fan. I get upset when people talk bad about him. I find nothing wrong with him just speaking his mind. Everyone has been doing it here on yahoo answers. We all know nascar has many problems, smoke just has the balls to come out and say it. Almost everyone on here is talking about his whinning, I just dont see it as whinning, its just freedom of speech, just like all of us get on here. He is the best driver......POINT BLANK......PERIOD!!!!!

Ok, so yea, i agree, Tony has a right to speak his mind just like anyone else does, and I also agree with him that Nascar can overstep its bounds during the race...BUT....when you are in such a high profile position as Smoke is, you have to watch how you say the things you do. Especially when it deals with the hands that put food in your mouth. Its not like he is just some "also ran" that's got a big mouth, he is one of the sports biggest stars, one of its most well known, and most seen represntatives. What Tony says about Nascar(positive or negative) is taken to heart by many casual observers, and as you can attest i am sure, by most of his fans. He has every right to say it, but he has to do it in a different forum then through the media, especially when its negative. Make your opinions known to the individuals that matter(pemberton, helton, darby, etc...) in a professional manner, not like a politician on some radio show. .

I use to not like SMOKE for the simple fact he was such a hot head, but i do like him now that he has mellowed out a little and I appreciate him for his honesty, and his courage to speak up when nobody else has the guts, i don't agree with your comment about him being "the best driver" but he has some serious skills and those are what people have to look at, not his personality. GO BOBBY 43!!!!

Tony Stewart has a way to get NASCAR to listen to things and he did last week.
Real fans know that something is going on and Tony pointed it out,fans of certain drivers love the cautions.
But I'll be at 'DEGA yelling for Tony.

as for the best driver gordon still has that title he smoked smoke just last week and i give him credit for speaking his mind but to act the way he does towards fans and other drivers he is nothing but a big cry baby and as for the best driver as you say he missed the chase last year and still has not won this year hes a great driver but has a long way to go to catch gordon

He's been one of my favorite drivers for a while now. My closet is pretty much filled with orange and the Nascar part of my shirts..
Besides the fact that he is a straight up wheel-man and a tremendously talented drive he's HUMAN! I've always loved his honesty, his intensity and his passion for the sport. Sure they get him in a lot of trouble..but it's real.

He's not my driver, but I have alot of respect for the guy... unlike the butt-buddies of Johnson and Gordon.

Smoke on,If he doesn't win he'll whine until someone pays attention to him.He now has caught the attention of NASCAR ,they now are paying attention to him, look for old Smoke to pay a heavy price. He'd look good in a Toyota!

I'm a big fan. My favorite moment is when he won and crapped his pants at Watkins Glenn. No one complains and whines more than him. Pudgy should take Jared's advice and eat some Subways
