It's a little too early to expect any significant weight loss. In fact, you may be setting yourself up for dissappointment with this method of dieting. Many persons who undertake overly restrictive diets typically fail.

Try a gradual reduction of your food intake. Drink more water and consume healthier beverages. Search for enjoyable foods with low fat content. Recognize your eating habits and try to structure a diet that fits into your lifestyle. If you tend to have night time cravings (like I do), find a fat-free, low calorie food that is tasty but wont ruin your day's efforts (cereal, low-fat ice cream/yogurt, fat-free Jell-o Pudding or fat-free popcorn are some suggestions).

If you're not already subscribed, join a gym with exercize programs that you'll enjoy. It's more likely that you'll stick to an exercize routine if you enjoy doing it. (If you prefer exercizing at home, try listening to fun, fast-paced music while moving. I've personally found this to be helpful.)

I wish you much success in your weight loss endeavours. Take care and good luck :).

First of all starvation is the worst thing for your body, second of all when your body goes into starvation mode, usually if you consume less that 1,000 calories a day, it holds on to the fat you already have stored in your body. Then if you starve yourself long enough, it takes away from the protein in your musles, making you weak. Don't starve yourself. Try low cal, low carb options, or just eating right. Best thing to do is eat about 6 six small healthy meals a day. I tried this and I lost 15 pounds within three weeks. Of course with exercise. Exercise doesn't have to be going to the gym either, it could simply be walking in the mall with your friends for an hour. You can eat sweets here and there, but remember, everything you do, do in moderation!!

WTF! Never ever ever start a starvation diet. Do you know how many people there are in the world who would kill for the amount of food that I know you have access to. Dont starve yourself. Starvation should never be voluntary, excluding Gandhi, but only an unfortunate consequence of a poor economy or environment.

If you want to lose weight eat right and exercise. But the main thing here is that you must EAT, but eat good food. Then maybe you'll see better results than a ridiculous starvation remedy.

Here is the downside to the starvation diet:

Whenever you finally eat, your body will try to keep every calorie that you consume, due to the fact that it has not had any nourishment for a while and it's affraid that it may not get any more for days. Your metabolism will slow down considerably. You have to eat and keep your metabolism going, or if not, you will never lose the weight. I recommend seven small meals per day and exercise. Boost your metabolism and work out as much as you can.

Please don't starve yourself and good luck!

Because you're going about it all wrong. Shocking your body like that is dangerous. You should cut calories and still eat healthy foods. Also exercise frequently. Sorry, but it takes a long time to lose weight and anything you do lose too quickly will just be water weight and will come right back.

You have to starve for several days to see any change in weight. And starvation diets are very bad. Your body starts eating it's self because it needs energy / calories to keep going. Just like gasoline in your car...no fuel, the engine (you) die.

Because weight just doesn't fall off your body. It takes a GOOD diet and exercise. You are only going to gain more weight, because you are fooling your metabolism, and it will cling to surviving on your fat.

Do it the right way.. that's the only way you'll lose weight and keep it off. Eat a lot of protien, veggies, fruit & nuts - be careful of red meat and sweets.

you will not lose any weight at all, in fact the moment you putany foof in your mouth you will gain weight. to loose weight you have to eat, yes really. you must include a balanced exercise, and healthy food routine, to loose weight. i am a senior in college and have taken nutrition and exercise classes. that is how i know and from my own personal experience. you can eat vegetables, fruits, and meat ( not fried), you can also treat yourself to a treat (cookies, chocolate, candy) but not all the time. eat small portions, of food. and also remember to exercise, you can run, play sports, or dance anything you like. just keep active. you will loose weight, dont weigh your self everyday, do it like one time per week, and you can tell u are loosing weight by how you clothes fit, not the number you weigh. rememeber muscle weigh more than fat. you can pick up a copy of fitness, or shape magazine, for more tips that will help you in a healthy safe way.

You can't completely starve or it won't work.
This is what I would do and have done and it works.

Drink 8 glasses of water a day.
Eat an apple for each meal.
I lost AT LEAST 1-2 lb a day! Remember, the first 5 lbs you lose will be water weight which means you won't see a difference.

And if you start eating junk again when you are done, you will gain a ton of weight!

AFTER THE DIET

Eat VERY VERY VERY healthy after the diet,
like no sweets, no candy, no ice cream, not alot of carbs, no milk, no peanut butter and only 700-1200 cals a day.

Starvation diets aren't a good idea. You have to eat.
