Have a word with the neighbours or the kids parents. They may not realise that he/she is being that noisy. Failing that call the police and get them to sort it. Sometimes it can make things worse when you speak to neighbours. I complained to our next door neighbour about her dog barking non-stop when she was out. As she was always out I never got to see her so put a note through her door, I was very very polite and didn't have a go but explained that we have a baby and the dog barking is waking him up etc and she sl*gged me off to the rest of the street for complaining and now she ignores us completely and the dog STILL barks when she's out. So, if all else fails call the police. xx

No, you should either yell out the window to play somewhere else, go down there and tell it to them and/or contact their parents and let them know their children need to find a different place to play and/or be more respectful of their environment. As a parent, I would have no problem with someone correcting my child if my child were acting like an idiot and being inconsiderate. (obviously no one but me punishes them nor is yelling at them appropriate) I think children SHOULD learn that they need to respect the authority of ALL adults (while understanding that you don't just blindly follow anyone that tells you to - it's a fine line and that's where parenting comes in) not JUST mom and dad because later in life all people have to listen and take direction from more than one person.
Anyway - just holler out there to shut it or go somewhere else - if that doesn't work, take it up with their parents.

Depends what kind of noise it is and what time he's making it at.
I never noticed things like that until I had kids to get to sleep at 7pm but at the end of the day kids are allowed to play outside.
Unless its going on really late or really unbearable you'll have to grin and bear it and make sure your windows are shut!

sometimes yes, sometimes no-judge the situation by the time of day. pre 7pm you can,t really complain, pre 9pm consider next doors situation, are they having a bbq? or relaxing as a family and letting their child wear themselves out for bed? if none of these or similar apply a gentle word is needed, post 9pm it is not unreasonable to ask for the noise to be kept down if matters don't improve or troublesome neighbours contact the council or get your child up nice and early for a loud music lesson, good luck with it all!!!

No, I would go round and calmy ask them to turn the music down as your children are now in bed.
We have trouble with our neighbours sometimes. They are just a bit thick and forget about everyone else in the vicinity.

This is a real tricky one as depending on the parents the kids may just end up making more noise and making your life hell. I just accept the noise as my kids need to learn to sleep through noise.
What time are they making noise til?

Depends what time it is and how long it lasts .If it is quite late and is deliberate then I think you should have a word with the police who will come along and have a word with the parents. If the kid is only playing have a word with he/she but if they are there to cause trouble leave it to the police.

no definetly not, in most places there are noise ordinences. you may have to call the police if talking to the child doesnt work. where are the parents? maybe you could say something to them like that you have jobs, and your children have school and if you dont get sleep people cant function properly. good luck

No. I'd have a word with your neighbours - sometimes they don't think that they're making as much noise as they are, and will be quiet as soon as you say something

I'd find out where the kid lives and go talk to his mom. Actually, if it was me, I would be screaming my head off at the little brat until my face turned blue.
