I have always wondered this considering I see people who seem to be total opposites together.

appearancce and weight don't matter at all. its what's within. cliche as it may sound but true. people have different perceptions of beauty.

You know I am slim and athletic but I have no problem being with a guy who has extra weight (actually I prefer it more to a guy that's skinny). And I look great but I never minded a shy educated type (affectionately I would have said nerd because I consider myself one undercover...lol).

Weight just isn't a factor for me. I'm attracted to a person, not the person's size. As for appearance, I look for someone who takes care of himself. You know, bathes regularly, wears clean clothes. I've been attracted to all types over the years: goth, hippy, average joe, etc.

Well, according to ugly people, looks don't matter.

Women say that a guy who cares about looks, is a superficial pig.
Men say that a woman who cares about him having a job and lots of money, is just being shallow.

Who's right?

It plays a major role. Its the first thing we notice. Then you open your mouth and you pretty much ruin everything. But there are a few who have something decent to say.
