I was going to put it on ebay and sell tickets to win it. The tickets were going to be like $50 a piece and i was going to sell 400 tickets. So you have a one in 400 chance of getting a 2001 tundra for $50. It books for about $11500. Would any of you do that or do you think it is a good idea? one more thing i was thinking of doing it with those plasic easter eggs and mailing them to the people that bid and whoever gets that one wins. They are actually buying the eggs and I am just giving them the truck

I think that's actually a pretty cool idea. As long as you are completely up-front about what the deal is, so that no one can say they didn't understand that they were buying a chance, like a lotto. But you better see if e-bay allows that first.

It's a good idea. However, as a buyer I would have no reason to trust you that this whole thing was on the level.

How do I know you'll pick the winner randomly. For all I know, the winner might very easily be your buddy that I don't know about.

If you do this, you need to ensure a level of trust. Say by hiring a well respected legal or accounting firm, that I can easily verify, to monitor the entries and pull the winner at random. Otherwise I don't think you'll get many takers.

you could TRY that, but selling 400 tickets at 50 bucks a piece on something that will look to ebayers as a big scam might be very difficult. What will you do if you only sell 20 tickets?

No can do...Lottery not legal. you WILL get in trouble. I would not pay $50 for a chance to MAYBE win a truck.

Interesting idea. I agree with another answer it may be hard to convince ebayers that it's not a scam. Good luck
