Type CTRL+C to copy or CTRL+X to cut. To paste, type CTRL+V. Without knowing specifics of what you mean by "my edit," I'm afraid that's all I can do to help.

Generally you can control-C for copy and control-v for paste in most windows based programs. Control-x for cut.

HIghlight whatever you want to copy (or cut)
Either press ctrl+c to copy, or right click on the selections and choose "Copy". (For a "cut" use crtl+x)

Place the cursor where you want to "paste" the slection, and press crtl+v or right click and select "Paste".
