Actually it's better if your not really that experienced to NOT use ice breakers, because if you use them then the girl thinks your something that your not.
I prefer to use a method called the 5 second rule. When I see a girl I want to meet, I don't think about the bad things that could happen and go talk to her before 5 seconds.
I first say Hi and then mix in a cocky and funny phrase depending on her reaction.

In the past (I'm happily married now) I was always straight forward and to the point: "Hey, I just want to know if you would be willing to give me the opportunity to know you. I may not be the man for you and you may not be the woman for me but I would like to find out?"

pick-up lines, who needs those? Personally I'd be alot happier if you told me you hated me and then hugged me :) Seriously though, My current B/F just started hanging out with me at a party. He made it clear that he was attracted to me. He continued to be my friend yet backed away when he though I already had a B/F. He really took time getting to know me and be my friend first. Like I said, say you hate me and then hug me. and I'm happy!
