This is an interesting scripture. At first, it looks like a contradiction. How can it be in the midst, yet on the border?
If you look at the location of the Great Pyramid, it indeed is in the middle of Egypt, yet on the border of upper and lower Egypt.
Fascinating stuff...

I think the altar and the pillar might be different things. If you look up the red sea crossing, there is actually a pillar that was built along one side of the sea. I'm not sure if that's a border or not, but the fact it is a pillar literally, is interesting. I dont remember who built it, but it's supposed to be a memorial or something like that of the event. It has the Lords name on it if I remember correctly.

Last time I checked, a pillar wasnt a pyramid. Neither was an altar. If they were, they would be named Pyramids.
This is called "stretching the truth" to fit your Book. Nice attempt - but the pyramids are far older than your religion. Schneb does a wonderful job of passing along FALSEHOODS...the Giza necropolis is no where NEAR the center of Egypt, it was in fact in Lower Egypt (or, closer to the Nile Delta.) http://www.ancient-egypt.org/index.html
Why do you people pass along lies? Does it stregthen your faith to lie to each other?????

The none of the pyramids are on the border then or now.
It was and is a pillar.
Mose was the leader of the way out of slavery then.
Jesus is the great teacher of the WAY out today.
He is our pillar.

The biblical Egypt is any land that God no longer dwells in. God will set a plumb line in a dark land - God will not pass by them anymore.
Jesus last stop before He was off to be hung - was a wedding in Cana.
At first Canada used to be called Upper and Lower Canada.
Ontario was upper and Quebec lower - even though Quebec is above Ontario. Fascinating parallel that.

In the Book of Isaiah, (other prophets also) the phrase "In that day..." always refers to the Day of the Lord in End Times.
Sorry, it's not the Great Pyramid.
