Yes. I am going on the beautiful Lake Vermilion in Northern Minnesota. The walleye opener is not until May 12th but seriously who can wait that long to wet a line with the weather like this. I hope to catch something but if not it will be time well spent.

Yes, Lake Sam Rayburn TX. I plan to catch a few large mouth unless the white perch are biting so hard I cant refuse. Going to be tough though being that the McDonald's Big Bass Splash was last weekend. (Lots of pressure)

my favorite lake in the world opens on may 1st. rainbow trout to 15 pounds and eastern brook trout to 8 pounds. it is the first trophy lake in British Columbia and sits in the southeast corner of the province. it's crystal clear and fly fishing is unreal.
there are a lot of employers in the area that let employees take the day off just for the opening or close the doors all together.

OF COURSE........ I will be fishing Lake Texoma early Sat morning for black bass then I will go home for lunch and to mow my yard then I will be back on the lake that afternoon for some Striped bass fishing. Sunday is a day of rest so I will be able to fish all day without worrying about any "honey-do's".
