Personality disorders vary in severity. Passive Agressive PD is no different. In a case where severe OCD overlaps a Personality disorder, OCD can be treated medically with medications.
In many cases a physically etiology can lead to psychological adaptions.

The "which came first, OCD or PAPD?"

OCD kids raised in environments that aren't able to help the child deal with the OCD condition without criticism could well lead to an OCD kid that acts out in a passive agressive fashion..

Treat OCD first, then address the psychology of the personality disorder with counseling.

Doing a search on the National Institute of Mental Health site does not return any relavent results for passive aggressive (disorder).

OCD is treated effectively with cognitive behavior therapy / exposure response prevention.

I am sometimes passive aggressive and it fits with being a Scorpio. :)

Although (IMHO), Passive-Aggressive Personality Disorder ("Negativisitic Personality Disorder) was a valid and utilitarian diagnosis, it's not been a DSM diagnosable condition for quite some time now.

A two-pronged approach of psychotherapy and medication, however, is your best bet for treating the conditions your mentioned.

usually people who have OCD tend to smoke while the Passive-Aggressives drink alot, but I wouldn't recommend either.
