-Well you look gorgeous...first of all...so I don't know if you were just asking that question, because you were just curious in general. Or if it's for another reason.

*Anyways...it's just their genetics and yes, asian food is prepared WAY differently there than it is here.
.All the mexican, chinese, thai food...etc. unless you find a privately owned business...it's pretty much all been "Americanized"

.Which is why if you were to travel to their country and eat the same thing there that you ate here, it most likely will not taste the same at all.

*Anyways.......I just had to put my two cents in :)

It is simply genetic.

There are large Asian people too.

My paternal grandmother is filipina and she is very small.

I am about 4'10 1/2", probably because some people on both sides of my family are small.

If you are speaking of weight, it stands to reason that if you are genetically small in height, you will be the same in weight.

But as to the Asian diet, other than rice or noodles or a few other things, it has little starch or carbs.

It has been proven that food from Chinese restaurants can be fat laden, but it is primarily made for American palettes. Real Chinese food is much more varied and, to my mind, healthier, depending on what and how it is eaten.

People from various Asian countries eat a lot of vegetables. In Japan, lots of fish and seafood is eaten.

Green tea and other tea leaf is used throughout Asia and has been a proven weight loss aid.

Some Chinese use ma huang (ephedra), but it is used sparingly in TCM, not in the amounts put in diet pills here.

There are lots of reasons.

I would suggest you study the cuisine of many countries and try to mimic it at home. Go to an Asian grocery.

I have lived around the world and it is not as difficult as you think. There are many books written on foods and even this subject.

Try books on the Okinawan Diet.

Pick and choose as you would with other foods.
