The term "ley lines" was coined by Alfred Watkins in 1921 when explaining his theory that ancient sites around Britain had actually been constructed or formed giving alignments between and across the inhabited landscape of Britain. The sites mentioned include Stone Circles, Standing Stones, Long Barrows, Cairns, Burial Mounds and Churches.

Hey Vlad.

I think you mean Ley Lines.

Ley lines are lines of electrical impulses in the earth. Nikola Tesla was able to harness them in the most interesting ways. You get a little glimpse of this in the horrible film "The Prestige." Ugh so bad... But Bowie does an great job of playing Tesla.

As it relates Religion and Spirituality (keeping with the subject matter of this section) - Many believe demons and other supernatural entities travel ley lines as we do in cars on the highway.

Certain spiritually powerful places are built on odd convergences of ley lines. Places like Stonehenge, some of the most famous cathedrals, the infamous house in Amityville, the "mystery spot."

Very often, due to the electro magnetic fields, a compass does not work right in such places.

they're considered to be an invisible grid of energy across the world and many sites of religious and spiritual worship are often sited there. It's to do with the theory that the earth is a living organic structure and, much as the veins in our body carry our blood in a connected network, the earth too has a vein-like structure carrying energy across it. People see manifestations there, or have visions, or experience intense spiritual experiences. That's the theory. I kind of believe it, too.

ley lines are to put it simply, paths or tracks used by people over the centuries going from a to b.i often use them on old maps when i am metal detecting.it is often said that where ley lines cross people used to bury their valuables their before going off to fight in wars.alas,if they were killed those treasures stayed in the ground.until people like me came along and dug them up with the help of my trusty metal detector.its very interesting.
