I don't want a big religious argument or anything...just public opinion. I guess I want statistics.

Yes, there is a God.
If you want proof, here it is:
Most scientists today believe in God because their research tells them that there has to be a God. Think about it, it would be pretty hard to get here from nothing, wouldn't it? Some Atheists say there is no God and that we evolved from apes, but science has proven that one another life form evolves from another, the life form being evolved from ceases to exist. Obviously this can't be true because apes and monkeys are everywhere. Many Atheists have not even read the Bible and they assumed there is no God just because they don't want to accept a higher being than them. Famous scientists in history have stated they believe in God. Some of those scientists are Einstein, Darwin, and Stephen Hawking. If that isn't enough, look into fulfilled prophecies. Hundreds of prophecies have come true. And they were written thousands of years ago. The rest will occur sometime in the future. Or look at the 3 Secrets of Fatima. They were written by scholars hundreds of years ago. 2 out of those 3 prophecies have come true. The 1st one was about a vision of hell. The 2nd one predicted a Second World War happening and Russia being one of the main players. Or you can look at miracle healings. Many people have been healed and doctors have no explanation why. Yet, if that is not enough, you can look at our earth. The Earth...its size is perfect. The Earth's size and corresponding gravity holds a thin layer of mostly nitrogen and oxygen gases, only extending about 50 miles above the Earth's surface. If Earth were smaller, an atmosphere would be impossible, like the planet Mercury. If Earth were larger, its atmosphere would contain free hydrogen, like Jupiter. Earth is the only known planet equipped with an atmosphere of the right mixture of gases to sustain plant, animal and human life.

The Earth is located the right distance from the sun. Consider the temperature swings we encounter, roughly -30 degrees to +120 degrees. If the Earth were any further away from the sun, we would all freeze. Any closer and we would burn up. Even a fractional variance in the Earth's position to the sun would make life on Earth impossible. The Earth remains this perfect distance from the sun while it rotates around the sun at a speed of nearly 67,000 mph. It is also rotating on its axis, allowing the entire surface of the Earth to be properly warmed and cooled every day.

And our moon is the perfect size and distance from the Earth for its gravitational pull. The moon creates important ocean tides and movement so ocean waters do not stagnate, and yet our massive oceans are restrained from spilling over across the continents.

Look throughout the major world religions and you'll find that Buddha, Muhammad, Confucius and Moses all identified themselves as teachers or prophets. None of them ever claimed to be equal to God. Surprisingly, Jesus did. That is what sets Jesus apart from all the others. He said God exists and you're looking at him. Though he talked about his Father in heaven, it was not from the position of separation, but of very close union, unique to all humankind. Jesus said that anyone who had seen Him had seen the Father, anyone who believed in him, believed in the Father. And since 90% of historians say Jesus existed and that the Bible was written in his time, it is only wise to assume he really is the Son of God. Over 500 eyewitnesses witnessed his ressurection and that was written in many history books; not just the Bible. It is only wise to believe in God. What I have shown you is true proof.

Absolutely. God created the earth. He sent his son, Jesus, to die on the cross for our sins. He was buried in a tomb and rose three days later. Jesus paid the full price so that we might be able to go to Heaven and live with him. We are sinners. All you have to do to be forgiven of your sin is believe on Him. Realize that you are a sinner and ask Him to come into your heart and be your Saviour. He will do it. He loves you!

That is something that you have to choose for yourself. I cannot prove there is a God to anyone. I can only tell you what I believe and what I put my faith in. I know there is a God. I feel his power in my life. I see the answers to the prayers that I pray to him. I see the ways that he moves in my life. I see his power, and because I see his power, I know he is here. I see his beautiful creation, and I know that his hand was at work. For me, yes, I know there is a God.
